"Um, no they didn't make it out before us." Jake lost it, his sister was missing and he had lost it.
"Well, sorry! How were we suppose to know that they were behind us?" Jasmine argued, her fist clenched tightly causing her knuckles to turn red.
"Hm, I don't know. Have you ever tried looking behind you to ale sure that no one behind?" Jake growled, his fist clenched to.
"That's enough!" Christian interrupted them. "Arguing won't help Jackie or Sam. We need a plan."
"Who made you in charge?" Jake growled, his head low and fist clenched.
"Well, normally a captain would be here with us. But I don't see Rider anywhere." Christian evaluated, as he glared at Jake.
"That is why Jackie put me as captain until Rider gets over his sister's death." Jake murmured.
"And if you don't stop arguing with people your sister will be dead." Christian murmured under his breathe.
That was it, Jake had lost it. Christian had pushed him to his breaking point and now what Christian had just said broke him. Jake charged forward and within a blink of an eye he swung his clenched fist and punched Christian in the ribs. Christian spluttered at the sudden pain, still in shock Christian turned around and tried to punch Jake in the jaw. Jake was ready for it and grabbed Christian's fist in one hand and brought his knee up into Christian's stomach.
"Take it back." Jake murmured to Christian.
"Why should I?" Christian challenged as he looked Jake in the eye.
Jake punched Christian in the jaw, "Take it back!" He demanded.
"Jake! That's enough!" James stopped him before Christian lost his pride.
James wrangled Jake away from Christian while Jasmine ran over and helped Christian.
"You heard what he said! He had no right to say what he did!" Jake argued as he threw his arms away from James' grip.
"Your right, he had no right. But if we are going to help Jackie and Sam, we need to stop fighting each other and think of a plan." James stood his ground as he blocked Jake's view.
"Fine. But keep him away from me." Jake murmured as he glared Christian.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jackie woke to the smell of damp air and rotting flesh, she blinked a few times wandering where she was. She shifted herself so that she sat up, doing so made her shoulders ache and her head spin slightly. Once she regained full consciousness she looked around where she was. To her left little sunlight came through the waterfall that put a stop to any plan of escape for a while, to her right the back of the cave and there lied Sam. Jackie moved her hand slightly towards Sam only to pull it back when she felt a bone, for a moment her fear had disappeared until she heard a deep growl.
"Sam." Jackie murmured, as her head rested on her shoulder.
Sam moaned once before going quite once more, Jackie picked up the bone beside her and threw it at Sam.
Sam moaned as the bone hit the back of his head, "What?"
"Get...Up." Jackie demanded as she threw another bone.
"There is no point." Sam groaned as he shifted.
"Sam Andrew Eberwald, get your butt over here right now." Jackie moaned as she threw another bone.
Sam sighed before dragging himself over to Jackie, he sat himself up beside Jackie before resting his head on the cave wall.
"Are we going to die?" Sam asked as he looked at the waterfall.
"I don't know." Jackie sighed as she threw a bone at the waterfall.
She heard it hit something and then a groan come from something, Sam looked at her fear filling his eyes. A lion walked into the cave, it shook its mane and pelt dry before looking at them. It stalked towards them before sitting in front of them, its eyes studying them, assessing them. The lion growled before leaving them only for Chris' lion to walk into the cave, his presence sent shivers up Jackie's spine.
"Where's Jet?" Jackie demanded, trying to stop herself from shaking.
Chris' lion growled at them, before sitting in the same spot as the lion before him. Jackie squeezed Sam's hand for comfort, she was expecting him to pull his hand away but instead he squeezed hers.
"Jet and Thunder are fine." Suddenly Chris' lion told them.
Shocked and scared the pair tried to scramble back further only to run into the wall.
"You... You can... Talk..." Jackie stumbled, as she squeezed Sam's hand harder.
"Of course I can talk." Chris' lion growled at them.
"How come you can talk but the others can't?" Sam demanded acting as though he wasn't shaken.
"Because my bond with Chris was stronger then ever, which allowed me to communicate to Chris." Chris' lion explained, before yawning, showing his huge canines.
"Ok..." Jackie nodded slowly, still weirded out by what has just happened.
"Please call me Ziambe." He said before growling at something outside.
"No, we're good." Sam said, as he stood up.
Jackie followed her legs shaking and heart pounding, Ziambe flicked his ears before rising to his own paws.
