"Rider." A voice murmured, before a clicking sound hit his ear.
Rider moaned, he flopped his hand over his eyes. He moaned before his stomach grumbled.
"Rider, will you get the hell up." Jake's voice yelled in his ear.
Rider lashed out, hitting Jake on the nose.
"He's awake." James chuckled as Jake walked away.
"What happened?" Rider moaned as he sat up.
"You tell me." James said, puzzled to why Rider had no idea of what had happened. "You blacked out."
"I hit the ground, got up and then saw black spots." Rider moaned.
"There isn't any rocks around and your head didn't even hit the ground." Brianna added.
"Maybe we should go and see Hayley." James added.
"I'll be fine." Rider just shook it off, he knew that he would be fine.
"We will take a break. Meet back here at midday." James informed them.

Jackie moaned, her ribs hurt and head bruised. She couldn't remember what had happened nor could she remember how she got where she was, wherever she was. She shifted herself, she felt aching in her right shoulder and her leg muscles seemed to be fragile. She touched her ribs tenderly to figure out how bad they were, she flinched when she lightly touched them and her jaw clenched at the sudden rush of pain. She couldn't remember what had happened before, her face was slightly bruised and stitches had been put in to keep a wound on her head closed. She lifted up the bed sheets and pulled up her shirt, her ribs badly bruised and a fine cut up along her side, it too had been stitched together. She got up out of the bed and walked over to the mirror, she turned around so that her back faced the mirror. She could now see the true extent of the wounds, her shoulder had been clawed at and her back had a number of grazed skin. She winced as her side began to hurt once more, she wandered back to the bed. Her head spin slightly as she laid back down, all she could do was look at the ceiling, hoping that she could remember what happened. She heard footsteps approaching, she shifted herself so that she sat up in the bed. The door creaked as it was opened, a small stream of light peered through the crack. She winced as she felt yet another stabbing pain in her side.
"I was just coming in to check on you." Jasper's familiar voice whispered.
"What time is it?" She moaned.
"Midnight." Jasper replied as he closed the door behind him, trying to be quiet.
Jackie let out a breath, she slumped slightly only to have to shift because her shoulder was in a difficult position. She studied Jasper, he too had a bruise on his head and stitches in place to keep a cut closed that was above his eyebrow. He had a wound from his elbow down, it too was stitched up and bruised. She noticed he was slightly limping only to find that his leg was fairly wounded.
"I am sorry." Jackie murmured, as she allowed him to sit down in the bed.
"Don't be. It was fun." Jasper replied, as he sat down.
The bed creaking at the sudden amount of weight, he winced hoping that no one had heard it.
"What was?" Jackie asked, she shifted so that she faced him.
"You don't remember?" Jasper asked, a puzzled look on his face.
"Last thing I remember was Lachlan telling me to leave." Jackie replied, a crease in her forehead.
"Shit." Jasper cursed himself.
"What? What happened?" Jackie asked, panic in her voice as she sat up straighter.
"There was a fight. A group of lionesses and their riders. They had surrounded a group of trainees and you fired an arrow. We got into a fight, the trainees helped and reinforcements arrived. You and Jet were tackled..." Jasper paused, he looked down, not making eye contact.
"No." She whispered, tears in her eyes.
"I had dragged you free, you had been wedged between Jet and the ground. After that you passed out, Chief Falcor and other warriors carried Jet whilst I carried you. We are in Chief Falcor's house." Jasper paused once more. "Jackie... Jet was badly injured."
Jackie burst into quiet muffles, tears running down her face. Her heart ached and pain coursed through her body as her ribs began to hurt. She leaned into Jasper, hoping that he would comfort her like Rider had done. Jasper at first seemed to be scared, not knowing what to do. At first he watched her before the pair laid down in the bed, Jackie rested her head and hand on his chest. Jasper rested one hand on her back, the queen size bed allowing them to fit. Her muffled tears and heart ache began to sink and she began to drown back into slumber, soon her and Jasper had fallen asleep.
