She paused, waiting for any reaction from Lachlan, but none came. For a while they sat in silence, Lachlan just sat on the bed and stared off into the distance. Jackie shuffled her feet along the ground, she didn't know what to do.
Lachlan finally let out a breathe, "But, Rider killed her. I watched the life drain from her eyes."
"She's leading a pride of lions and lionesses, Maddi has waged war on all of us." She informed him, keeping her voice low.
"It can't be... It isn't true!" Lachlan snapped at her, now rage and fear was in his eyes. "Get out! Leave now!"
Jackie lowered her head and got up out of the bed, she opened the door to find a guard. She smiled politely before going down the stairs to find Jasper waiting. Lachlan's captain was there too, he turned his head to Jackie.
"Tell Chief Stone that we have organised a meeting a with all the other tribes in 4 days." Jackie instructed him too, before beckoning Jasper to the door.
"Why can't you tell him yourself?" He asked, raising a suspicious eye brow at her.
"Chief Stone had asked me to leave, so I will leave." Jackie nodded before exiting the house.
Once she closed the door she heard some shouting before the sound of glass breaking. She winced as she heard angry shouts, to muffled to understand. She mounted Jet and rode out of the camp, she must have been out all night because now the sun was high and blaring down on them.
"We will see the Thunderheart Tribe, then we can head home." Jackie informed Jasper, the warrior just simply nodded in return.
They trekked the inhospitable terrain of the Rainbreaker Tribe, the farmers who lived out of the camp were hard at work, planting the seeds and getting them ready for the winter come. She looked down at the ground, she felt ashamed of what she had done, she knew it was right thing she had to do.
"I am guessing that Chief Stone didn't take what you told him to easily." Jasper murmured, trying to make a conversation.
"Nope. I honestly didn't think that he would react like that." Jackie sighed.
"He is the son of Chris... Remember." Jasper shrugged, he was too careless in his words.
"He is not that same." Jackie stated, "Chief Lachlan Stone will always be a better Chief then what Chris ever was."
"I didn't mean it like that." Jasper murmured, now he felt ashamed.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that." Jackie sighed, before allowing them to fall back into complete silence.

Rider woke up to the sound of arguing down stairs, he hoped that it meant Jackie was home. He got himself dressed and hurried down the stairs to find that it was just James and Jake in the kitchen.
"Oh, it's just you guys." Rider sighed, before slumping down into a chair in the dining room.
"What do you mean, it's just you guys?" James asked, his hands on his hips and puzzled look on his face.
"Someone misses his girlfriend." Jake teased, as he popped his head out of the kitchen.
Rider simply rolled his eyes, he was suddenly amazed when he saw James pit down a plate full of scrambled eggs. Rider looked at James, his eye brows raised and a confused look on his face.
"You have to eat, we have a busy day today." James stated.
Rider looked up at him, still with the same dumb founded look on his face. He pulled the plate towards himself and begun to eat, James stood there, the whole time, watching Rider.
"You okay?" Rider asked, his mouth full of egg.
"Fine." James nodded, raising a puzzled eye brow at him.
"Do you, ah, want some?" Rider asked as he looked as his plate.
"I thought you would never ask." James replied before sitting down in the seat beside Rider.
Rider moved the plate in the middle of them and passed James a fork that was sitting on the table since 2 nights ago. The pair filled their stomachs till they were completely stuffed, Jake came into the dining room and simply shook his head, before taking the plate and forks back into the kitchen.
"So what exactly do we have to do today?" Rider moaned as he got up out of the chair.
"Well, you have to come supervise a training session with Brandon. Then you need to some training of your own and finally check up the trainees training." James instructed him.
"so in other words, training, training and more training?" Rider mumbled.
"Yep." James sighed.
"We better get a move on then." Rider moaned as he headed towards the door.
