Jackie woke to some shouting and yelling, she rubbed the sleep from her eyes before Jake, James and Rider all charged into her room.
"What is it?" She moaned, as light blinded her for a few seconds.
"It's Brandon." Jake huffed, trying to catch his breath.
"What about, Brandon?" Jackie asked, a crease in her forehead.
"Not Brandon exactly, but it is what Brandon found." Rider corrected.
"Well if you leave and close the door behind you I will get changed and join you." Jackie raised her eyebrows.
"Right." They all said at once before squeezing through the door and closing it behind themselves.
Fear now had a grip on Jackie's throat, she raced to get changed before getting Jet up. The panther stretched lazily, before yawning.
"You done?" She asked the panther.
The panther nodded before following Jackie out the door, once they got down the stairs she noticed exactly how many people were in the house. Rider and Jake stood at the bottom of the stairs, James and Rider's father were arguing about something, Rider' mother and Brandon's mother were sitting down in the living room, Brandon's father and Scott were discussing something and Sam and Christian were just entering the house. She nodded slowly, still having no idea why so many people were in the house.
"Can we please find out what is going on?" She cleared her throat, before bellowing above everyone.
"We now what has happened." Rider's mother murmured as she placed a hand on Brandon's mother's back.
Now that Jackie could see, she noticed that Brandon's mother was hunched, her knees up and head in her hands. Jackie looked down before walking outside, she took a deep breath in before being joined by Rider and James.
"Let's get this over with." She murmured to them before mounting Jet.
As James led the way she could tell that everyone in the tribe was down, even the new trainees were quiet. Death had never effected them, not until now. Jackie knew what they were feeling, she felt it too. James led her too Brandon's house, the house was tossed upside down. The roof was slightly charcoaled and the door slumped off the hinges. The veranda railing was broken into bits and laid everywhere, one of the windows at the front was smashed leaving glass to litter what was left of the veranda. Jackie dismounted Jet, she walked up to the door, the glass cracked from underneath her feet. She slowly creeped into the house, taking in every detail as she scanned the house. The hall was completely destroyed, markings left photos shattered on the ground. She ran her hand along one of the markings, she immediately felt a familiar presence. She closed her eyes tight, she saw flashes of a struggle but a familiar face popped up in the end, Ziambe. She opened her eyes, taking in rapid breathes.
"You okay?" Rider asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Fine." She simply said before continuing.
They waled into the living room, to find it was completely destroyed. The chairs torn to threads, the fireplace was covered with broken glass and ashes sprinkled around the place. A large paw print had made its claim on the floor, with claw marks. The stairs railing had been broken and blood sprinkled the floor. Jackie walked into the kitchen, glass cracked under her feet. She lifted up her foot to find a photo, it had Brandon and Rosie together. She smiled at the sight before a cupboard door crashed to the ground, snapping her from her trans. She looked around, pots and pans scattered the floor. A knife laid with dried blood on the floor, it was obvious that there was struggle. She left the kitchen and went up the stairs. Photos were patched with blood and glass twitched underneath their feet. They entered, what appeared to be, Brandon's room. Spears laid scattered in the hallway, the window broken and bed completely destroyed. His cupboards turned inside out, the bookshelf laid in large pieces with books sprinkled with blood and pages torn. She went into the next room to find a similar appearance only then did they come to the second last room. The door creaked as Jackie opened it, the first sight she saw was Rosie. Her body leaned up against the bed, her head limp and on her shoulder. In her lap was her jungle cat, a single bite to the throat. Rosie's clothes were torn and blood still weeped from her cooling body, her throat slightly slit but the part that killed her was the bite to her spinal cord. Blood pooled the floor, the window shattered and bed completely destroyed. That was when Jackie noticed a blood stained piece of paper in Rosie's hand, Jackie grabbed the paper and unfolded it.
