This hallway is very straightforward, there are no other halls to turn into so I could really only go one way. The hallways on this floor seem to be much darker than the ones on Scarlet's, but not dark enough that I'm unable to see.

The farther I go, the weirder it gets, I pass by large containers filled with an odd green liquid. I keep going until I see a man in a lab coat, holding a clipboard. I go up to him and utter a soft 'excuse me'.

He turns around and I shoot a quick glance at the ID clipped to his lab coat, he's not Dr. Hojo, which means I have to ask him where he's at.

"I'm looking for Dr. Hojo, I've been sent to pick up some documents by Director Scarlet. Could you perhaps lead me to him or call him over?" I say, trying my hardest not to falter under his stern look.

"He's currently running some tests on the floor above, he won't stop his work and come down for anything. Just tell me what documents you need so I can just get them for you."

"I need the documents concerning the newly formed materia."

'Wow, go me for keeping it so professional.'

"Sure, just wait here and don't wander off." He gives me a serious look as he wanders off somewhere.

I just nod, a bit taken aback at how stern the man is. But then again I don't think one of the leading companies of the world would have easy going people working for them. Well, they did hire Zack, so I guess they'll let some things slide.

I take a look around as I wait, the tech in this room looks so out of this world, like I just stepped into another dimension. I feel like a kid at a museum, the place is overall kinda boring but there are some things that just give me an urge to touch them.

I regain my composure when I hear footsteps coming my way, facing the direction of the noise. It's the man who I was talking to before, atop his clipboard lay a file stamped with a bright red 'confidential'.

He says nothing as he hands them to me, I give him a nod in thanks and make my way back to the elevators. I hear two more pairs of footsteps coming from the direction the man came from, but I don't turn back around to see, opting to just finish the tasks I was given instead of giving in to curiosity.

I call the elevator up to my floor and wait for it to arrive, thinking about getting a celebratory dinner after work. I'm glad to have worked a small office job a few years ago or else I would have been truly lost today.

Once the elevator doors open I step inside and press the button for the 57th floor. As I turn to face the open doors I see a tall-and I mean tall-man walking down the hallway from the labs. He has the longest hair I have ever seen, strangely being a platinum color. He has such an odd choice of clothing, black leather pants and coat. White pauldrons on his shoulders and a large belt wrapped around his hips. His chest is on display, leather straps crossing over each other between his pectorals..

'No way that hair's natural.'

He walks so elegantly and the way he carries himself just screams 'power'.

Just a quick glance told me all I needed to know about him. Making sure not to stare, I keep the elevator door until he finally makes it inside, moving to the button panel.

"Which floor?" I make sure my voice is polite yet strong enough to show I shouldn't be walked over.

"49 please."

'Oh my Gaia, this man's voice is otherworldly!'

His voice is deep and incredibly pleasing on the ears. Two words, this man spoke two damn words, but already I'm captivated by him.

I press the button for the 49th floor and take a step back to stand more in the middle of the elevator. I make sure I am a good couple of feet away from him.

All too soon the elevator arrives at my designated floor. Getting off, I will myself not to spare a glance at the man who remains in the metal contraption that would carry him off.

I walk through the double doors where my desk is, and turn right, making my way to Scarlet's office. When I arrive in front of her office I knock three times, ignoring the Security Officer stationed outside.

When I hear her voice on the other side asking who it is I tell her my name and say that I have the files she asked for. She gives me the go ahead to come in and I do so, walking in and approaching her desk.

She sits in her chair, her head propped on her hand which rested on the arm of the chair. The Security Officer who I had seen on all fours a few hours ago is still on the floor, but this time he is being used as a footstool. I make sure not to gawk at the scene and give her my full attention as I hand her the files.

"I'm impressed, it's only 12:30 and you're already done with the tasks I gave you. Soon enough you'll be able to do all this in minutes. I'm liking you more and more." Her red tinted lips pull up into a small smile, but her eyes have an edge to them.

I don't nod my head or smile back, I don't take what she said as praise since the tone of her voice didn't really seem like it was. It was more of a pleased tone, like she was glad to finally have someone competent working under her.

"You're free to take a small break right now, I'll call you when I need you."

I nod my head, giving her a 'Yes ma'am', before turning around and leaving. I head back to my desk, taking out my phone and letting Zack know I got a break of sorts for a bit.

He responds by letting me know he is on lunch and that he'll come by and show me around when he is done. I decided I ought to look through my emails and take a look at my shift. I'm going to be working 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, while also having to be on call for Scarlet. I connect my phone to the one at the desk, I don't know which she will call to get a hold of me whilst I'm on this 'break'.

'That's the price to pay for getting a job as a secretary, I guess.'

I spent about five minutes waiting before a joyous man I know bursts through the doors beside me. His familiar spiky hair and childlike grin is the only thing I manage to see before he pulls me up from my chair and proceeds to drag me out of the hallway.

"First things first, the cafeteria, then I'll show you which floor I work on so you can visit me on your breaks." He turns his head to look at me but doesn't slow his quick pace.

His smile is just too contagious and I can't help but find myself smiling with him.
