HANBIN: I'M SORRY

The nearer it is to the end, the more worried K gets about Hanbin's ranking. Hanbin has never got that badge, his global votes aren't that safe, and he's obviously not the PDs' favorite. Although Hanbin keeps telling him to keep the distance, K seizes any chance to show the audience Hanbin's talents and his personality in hopes of earning him more votes.

That bugs Mnet, but they can easily fix it by cutting Hanbin's screentime. But never did they expect Hanbin ranked 4th in the global voting.

- Hanbin? 4th ranking? What exactly did you do to make it happen?

- We have tried our best. His screentime is already the least. The only thing that we couldn't do is evil editing. He spends all his time having a snack, practicing, having fun, or helping other trainees, no matter how much we tried, we can't catch any potential moments to portray him as a bad guy. There were times he and K were close, but we made sure none of them got aired either. Even during his team performance, we zoomed in another trainee while he was impressively hitting a high note. To sum it up, he had total screentime of fewer than 3 minutes. We honestly have no idea why he's got that popular.

- Less talk, more actions. What's your solution now?

- We will reduce his screentime to 1 - 2 minutes only.

- Screentime my ass. The next elimination is by the producers. He will have to pack his luggage this round. You better do your job well to make sure that his elimination makes sense to the audience! And also, tell him to meet me in the office now.

Hung is walking slowly towards the meeting office, trying to think of a reason they want to meet him this late. Hung has never been this confident as he finally has the debut badge. However, with everything that has happened since day 1, Hung is afraid they are going to rob it from him, again. As K has regained his past memories, Hung is extremely motivated to debut. And he must debut at all costs.

At the front of the room, Hung takes a deep breath, before pushing the door and bowing down to greet the manager.

- Oh Hanbin ah, come here, take a seat.

Hung sits down, asking himself why he's being so nice to Hung now.

- How is your practice?

- It's been great so far.

- Congratulations. You seem to win over so many hearts. We've been trying hard to bring your best images to the world and luckily, they can realize your talents and great traits.

- Thank you so much!

- However, Hanbin ah... I already said it to Nicholas, I'm not sure if he shared it with you. As you might know, this debut line consists of only 7 members, and there can only be one foreigner...

"Only one foreigner?" So it means Hung and K can't debut together? Hung has been a veteran KPop fan so he's aware of this unwritten rule. It's no shock to him, but he actually thought that it could be different for a so-called global group...

- We are having headaches as both you and K are excellent. K is one year older than you...

Hung knows what they are trying to say, but it's also what he wants:

- So please debut K!

- He might not agree with it tho...

- Please, don't tell him what you just told me. I know how to deal with it.

- That we can do.

- Thank you. If there's nothing else to discuss, may I leave now?

Hung walks out of the room with a heavy heart. So it turns out that Hung has never been their choice, and they seem freaked out after Hung got the badge. K had to abandon his dream of being a marathon runner to be here and Hung will make sure he can keep running for his dreams. But, can K stand another separation? Is there any way to make him accept it? Maybe there is, but Hung wants to put it aside to focus on the very last week he can spend with K.

K hyung ah, I'm sorry. Our promise to debut, I can no longer keep it...

And I'm sorry, Hannies, you've been working hard... Just that, I'm never in their plan... I'm sorry for breaking your hearts...
