A leopard can't change his spots
Hanbin isn't as tough as he thought!
In his sleep, Hung places his hand on Bong's belly, his white long-haired male cat. Soft hair as always, much longer than normal tho. Hung sits right up. So does the cat. However, his name is K, and of course, he's not even a cat to start with. K rubs his eyes, not seeming to understand what is going on. Thank God, Hung is quite smart, he quickly comes up with a lie:
- I... I am sorry. Yesterday was my birthday. And in our culture, we need to hug someone on our birthday. You... you know, it's the meaning of birth, to lean on others to survive, right?
- Right. Lean on others to survive.
K looks quiet, he seems to be delving into his past again. To break this embarrassing atmosphere, Hung quickly interrupts:
- K, it's gonna be a long day. Are you ready to be a millionaire yet?
A smile forms on K's lips. Oh wow, finally Hung can soften up this cold man. Wasn't Hung born to prove that perfection does exist? Hung laughs at himself for that narcissistic moment. K doesn't understand why, but he laughs with Hung. A great way to start the day together!
Now, the first thing to do is to get well-dressed. No merchants in their right mind would buy expensive imported paintings from them if they go there in their current clothes. Hung is wearing a pink T-shirt with jeans, it sure looks good, but no way does he look like a rich man coming back from Italy. How about borrowing K's clothes? Two sizes smaller then maybe he can fit in!
- K, do you have any smaller kimono? Like the ones when you were younger?
- What are you doing with it?
- I need to get dressed. I cannot go to the Chinese town like this. They might not even bother to talk to me.
- Let me find some of my brother's.
- You have a brother?
- Yes. Ah no. He died.
That familiar look on K's face. Now he can know for sure K's heart is heavy with sorrow. As an optimistic person, Hung doesn't want anyone near him to suffer alone. But he also knows that for those who have been lonely for so long, it takes more than just a couple of days for them to trust someone enough to open their heart. Hung might not have lots of time left here, but he believes that as long as he tries his best, he can help lessen some of K's sadness.
Finally Hung can manage to put on the kimono. Such an irony, just yesterday morning he was complaining about the cold winter, and now he has to walk under the Sun with such a heavy set. Hung gets out, with such an unhappy look. Maybe it's why K looks dumbfounded.
- Nice! Hanbin looks great in our Kimono.

Well, it's because Hung is good looking himself. A picture of him in Ao Dai can earn 1000 likes on Facebook, a vid of Hung on Youtube can get up to 1000 thumbs up and him in Hanbok on Instagram will surely reach thousands of hearts. The reason lies on my handsome face, bro. But Hung needs to return K's compliment, especially when it's accompanied by that expression.
- The kimono looks great on you too. And I'm sure people will call you hotboy when you put on our Ao Dai.
- What does hotboy mean?
- Ahhh, it means cute.
It might be too insensitive to translate it right, that hotboy means a man who is desired by many women. K looks 20, 21 years old, and it's obviously unusual to be unmarried at this age, in this century. Maybe K has some reasons for it, and Hung should leave them alone. K tilts his head and quint his eyes. He seems to try to mesmerize the word. Why? He's planning to use it later or what?
It's time to leave, Hung puts the two notes into a red envelope and heads out with K. The streets look nice today, with red lanterns hung up and lots of strollers. Lunar New Year is around the corner, that's why everyone is out preparing for it. Japan used to celebrate it, just like S.Korea, China, and Vietnam. Actually, most of these strollers are Vietnamese. They come to these Chinese, Japanese towns merely to know how different the biggest festival of the year is in each country.
Hung tries to hustle but the flow of people is getting denser and denser. Meanwhile, K can easily walk in the crowd thanks to his body shape and long legs.
Hung might get lost quickly if he cannot keep up with K's pace. Hung then yells:
- K, cut my hand!
K turns his head, tilting it again, his brows are lightly knit as if he didn't understand what Hung said. He might have not heard Hung well.
- Cut my hand or I might be lost.
K holds out his hand, his smile in the bright sunlight can win over any girl. Hung quickly grabs it, feeling something strange in his heart.
