Nikolai lived in the Northern half of the city, along with his sister Charlotte. Rosalie was Charlotte's best friend, but unfortunately her feelings towards Nikolai were the exact opposite. They were enemies for the longest time until Rosalie convinced his sister to lock him in the school's bathroom for the entire weekend. It was horrifying enough to feel trapped, but, as embarrassed as he was to admit this, Nikolai still had a huge fear of the dark. He was found the next week on Monday, but the incident scarred him for the rest of his life. Following the incident, his parents moved him and Charlotte away when they were 17 to a small town called Honeydale.
But that was before he met a certain chaotic god.
