Vinny lived in Honeydale itself for the beginning of his life, living with his extremely abusive parents. He was a quiet kid for a long time until he met Jackson, who, for the next two years, would be the only person he ever talked to. When he was 12, his parents got arrested for multiple hate crimes, which left him in the arms of his aunt. It was then that he grew out of being introverted and began to express himself more, opening up to more people and eventually finding Lukey and his friends to stick around with. This didn't separate him from Jackson at all, in fact, pretty soon after Vinny was able to leave his parents, he and Jackson started dating. Jackson even gifted him the golden colored bear beanie Vinny still wears to this day, though admittedly he's had to get bigger ones to fit on his head properly. He still has the original stuffed somewhere in his room, though he'd rather tell you where his plush collection is rather than where the beanie is.
