Hoseok gazed down, pitiful eyes cast towards an ailing Yoongi. The bilious feeling scratching in his gut had subsided for now, his appetite still bare and devoid of motivation to eat anything, though. Yoongi could only lay on his side, groaning from time to time whenever he shifted or took a breath in too fast.
"When did you start feeling like this?" Hoseok asked, setting a cool rag over Yoongi's forehead.
"I've had a cold for the past month, it got worse a few days ago." He mumbled.
"What do you mean worse?"
"I don't know Hoseok," he coughed, "fuck, it's just a stomach bug."
He only hummed in reply, scratching his chin and turning around to pace the length of the bedroom again. Hoseok had come over after two days of Yoongi not answering his phone, a week of missing work. He came in when the man was at his worst, crawling on the floor to the toilet, his legs giving out on him. Yoongi tried to usher Hoseok out, after failing miserably he was only able to convince his friend to not take him to the hospital, at least.
Now, Yoongi lays, quivering in his sweating sheets while Hoseok brainstorms what could be wrong with him. His temperature is rather high, not too bad to cause immediate medical attention, not like Yoongi would be willing to go anyway. After Hoseok called Jin with an explanation, made cold seaweed soup and mothered Yoongi into his bed to rest, he walked.
Back and forth, a deep pinch in his brow. Occasionally he would raise questions, after short, curt answers he would resume his strides.
"What else has been going on?"
"I don't know." Was the only thing Yoongi could think to say, "Like, a few weeks ago I walked around in the outside for a while, this is the consequence of that."
"No, if that was the case you'd have a cold, colds don't make you vomit."
"Jesus what are you, a doctor?"
"No but Avery was." He muttered, "Answer me honestly okay?"
"Sure, whatever."
"Has your symptoms gotten worse over time?"
"Already told you that."
"Have you been forgetting things?"
"I don't think so, feels like I am though."
"How's your sleeping schedule?"
"Like shit, but that's nothing new."
"What about your appetite?"
"Can't eat."
"Do you feel weak?"
"You literally saw me crawling on the floor."
"Do you feel empty?"
Yoongi held his breath. Did he? It's been a little over a month since Jimin let Yoongi go from his practice, a little over a month of adapting to a new schedule, of having to eat lunch alone again, of having Jimin's absence plague his everyday life. It wasn't so bad, in the beginning. Yoongi was stubborn, spiteful and petty. He wasn't going to let some little crush get to him, he's Min Yoongi, he doesn't have to put up with that.
However, it is extremely apparent that Jimin broke Yoongi. Hoseok and Taehyung know very little about what happened, all they are aware of is that Jimin stopped coming by for lunch, and Yoongi got paler everyday Jimin kept his absence streak. His friends were very puzzled, perhaps, more so than Yoongi was about the abruptness in which Jimin exploded. It seemed very sudden, too quick even, like Jimin's decision was irrational and selfish.
