A Coffee Kiss

Spilled coffee

Our first date was spent in a coffee shop by the beach. All of these memories created in a pool of spilled coffee, But my heart became full of her.

She was everything I wanted. We walked and talked for hours, when I got cold she offered me her coat, she held my hand while we walked around the shops. Before we left she hugged me and staired at me for ages and dissapeared on her train. Then within the next minute I received a text " I should've kissed you! ".

I was always so cautious to never let a girl have my heart when I didnt even know where my heart was. But as fait has it I had already fallen for her before I realised I slipped.

I still dont know where my heart is, I dont think Kaelyn ever returned it, I know her and I have had our relationship now, and we will only end up where we are now.

They say it takes five months to fall out of love with someone, well that someone is a dick and they're talking bollocks, it's been six! six long months.

Now she decides to try and want me! When we were together the last time she couldn't wait to forget me.

Don't get me wrong we were happy. The walkes through the cities, late night drives, kisses in the rain, coffee spills, dinner dates or even drinking at the bar or the simple things like attempting to  cook dinner together and burning toast in the mornings. Laying in bed watching TV till it shuts off because we fell asleep talking to each other.

But what killed us was our phones, always so scared of other people taking each other away that we ended up pushing each other into other lovers arms.

" I know you're mad but can we get coffee and talk?" 2.37am

Kaelyn text me last night, wanting to talk in person.

" Okay, by the beach?" 7.48am ( at least I text at a decent time. She always was a little night owl.)
