A Coffee Kiss

Is This Home?

Kaelyn and I walked hand in hand in the coffee shop and sat down. Kaelyn instantly stood up and ran to the counter she smiled and chucked as she ordered our drinks.I could tells she truly felt bad. She walked over with shakey hands holding our cups as she placed them on the table she got her phone out of her back pocket and turned it off. I thought it was a little off but didn't want to over think it so I just smiled and sipped my drink.

" Its just you and me, no distractions "

Her smile was honest and real. We talked through all the heart break and mis-communications. We needed each other and we still do.

We spent the afternoon sipping on coffee and laughing. Everything was honestly perfect,nothing could go wrong, not today.

We walked through the markets and danced in the streets, Kaelyn pulled out her phone and switched it back on and pulled up her camera with a cheesy SMILE the camera flashed as she kissed me on my cheek and my smile was bright.

" we are going to need another one."

" I thought we looked cute"

" well phones have home screens and lock screens" she laughed

my heart sang as she cuddled into my side as we walked down the beach bare footed.

Perfection.

The day turned into night and we needed to part it was hard because deep down I felt like I wasn't going to see her again, the singing stopped and my heart felt heavy. Kaelyn drove me home and she could see I was upset.

" what's the matter babe? "

" If this is the last time we see each other I'm glad it's on a good memory, I just..."

" hey who said we wernt going to see each other again? Come on we can do this ... you just?"

" I never stopped loving you... and now being here with you. It just feels right. I'm at home with you. I dont wanna feel hurt again"

" I never stopped loving you and I never will, I promise! You're my home, and hopefully my girlfriend?"

I could help but smile and the tears disappeared as I nodded leaning into her kiss. My heart dropped all the weight that made it sink instantly flew. Everything that happened didn't matter from now it was me and her.

I walked into my room with the biggest smile I have ever had.

" I knew I should've kissed you xxx "
