Yes, we're friends, that's why I have to be contented.
No need to show my feelings for her. Being able to talk to her every day is one of those things
I need to be thankful.
Steph: so how's your mom and dada?
Steph asks while we're sitting on one of the university's benches.
Athena: still, dad isn't home.
Steph: and your mom?
Athena: Mom is trying to be okay, but I can see in her eyes that she's not.
Steph: do you have an idea why they're fighting?
I shook my head
Steph: Sometimes problems can be resolved by them. Stay with them. It's going to be all right.
Athena: I hope so. It's hard that you're parents are struggling, and yet there's nothing you can do. To help them.
Steph: Oh, come on, it's normal for any couple to have a problem, don't feel bad.
Athena: how to be like you?
Steph: what? Do you want to be like me? (laugh)
Athena: I want to be as optimistic as you. It seems like you always see good things in each bad. You're always happy, even in difficult moments.
Steph: you want to know the secret? Don't let negativity get in your way. The problem will still be a problem. Let the problem solve itself. Get it? haha
Athena: I still don't get it.
Steph: nevermind. Let buy some sandwiches. I need a break.
Athena: my treat. hehe
Steph: Hallelujah!
Athena: by the way, can you join us this weekend? We will have a barbeque party. It's Dad's birthday.
Steph: really? So you'll have many guests?
Athena: just us.
Steph: oh no, grand celebration?
Athena: I don't think so. Especially now.
Steph: I have an idea. What if we will organize a romantic date for them? I'm good with planning the venue. I need approval from you, and then we'll go.
Athena: I think that's a good idea! Bring out the best in them. And they need some private sweet time together. I bet they miss that.
Steph: then let's go. We have to plan this quickly and perfectly.
We went to the mall to buy some pieces of stuff for dinner/birthday surprise. Steph was so amazing, and she has these bright ideas I never came up with before. It's all hers.
It's already dark when I finished buying. I've decided to take Steph home.
We were quiet, feels like she's thinking about something. I can't read her mind.
Athena: (clear throat) We're almost at your house. Thank you for today, Steph.
Steph: You're welcome. (smile)
Athena: you must be tired. IM SORRY
Steph: no, I just saw something that made me feel sick. I think I need to rest. See you on Sunday.
Athena: okay. get well
Steph: bye. go home safe
Athena: (nod)
I don't know why so suddenly she became sad. Did I do something?
