ATHENA'S POV

The house was so quiet and so dark by the time I got there.

It appears that it's abandon for a very long time.

And me also, I feel lonely, and nobody was here for me.

I wanted to text Steph, but I remember she wasn't okay when we parted earlier.

So I doubt telling her about my problems. I just made myself dinner. I don't know where my parents are. And I can't make them go home and have dinner with me.

It's already close to midnight, and I'm still alone. Do my parents have plans to see their daughter? What's wrong with them? I am already pissed.

I prepare for bed when I hear a sound at the door. Someones are entering. I'm a little afraid, but I thought maybe it was mom.

Aom: Oh dear, we went to see our old friend, we forgot to tell you. I am sorry

Athena: I'm fine, Mom. I've already eaten, by the way. I missed you two together.

Athena: almost. How are you feeling right now?

Steph: about earlier, I'm so sorry. I just saw someone who pissed me off.

Athena: really? Who?

Steph: someone I trusted so much but ended up disappointing me.

Athena: ex?

Steph: Friend, an ex-friend

Athena: oh,

Steph: but I'm fine. She's not worth it anyway. and besides, I have you

Athena: of course, you have me. always

Steph: go to bed now. I want to check out on you. I can't sleep, not being sure that you're safe.

Athena: that's sweet.

Steph: by the way, can I go to your place tomorrow?

Athena: you want to come here? Sure!

Steph: prepare something special for lunch, okay?

I can't stop smiling. Oh god, I'm so excited.

I don't know ill to be able to sleep tonight thinking about Steph.

But still, I manage to rest. I know it's wrong to feel this way for her. Cause she is my best friend.

The problem is how to act generally beside her. I don't want her to feel weird about me. So as much as I could. I will hide whatever is this that is inside me.
