We're sitting beside each other, enjoying the donuts she bought. My heart is so happy coz we're finally okay.

Athena: How did you know this is my favorite?

Steph: I just guess it.

Athena: good guess.

Steph: Are you still mad?

Athena: I'm not mad, I'm just hurt

Steph: because of what I said?

Athena: (nod)

Steph: well, I acted like that not because of William, but because I don't want you to be into trouble. From what I have told you. He's an asshole.

Athena: I'm not afraid of him

Steph: me too, what I'm afraid of is you getting harm.

Athena: why?

Steph: because.

She looks at me.

Steph: coz that's what I promise to your dad.

Athena: I know, but I can manage myself

Steph: and I don't want to! So can you please listen to me?

Athena: Okay, okay, you're mad again

Steph: no I'm not. ill just get water.

I'm watching her while she sleeps, as time goes by, I feel like I'm falling for her, and I'm having trouble not showing it to her. what I'm afraid of, is her reaction if she knew that her best friend is in love with her.

Steph: can't sleep?

I was shocked when she suddenly opens her eyes and I was looking at her.

Athena: ahm

Steph: what are you thinking?

Athena: nothing...

Steph: you mom and dad?

Athena: Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about.

Steph: you miss them?

Athena: yes, especially mom.

Steph: call her tomorrow.

Athena: I will

Steph: it is normal, you miss her. She misses you too I'm sure.

Athena: dad thinks she won't come back.

Steph: why?

Athena: her boss, he likes mom so much. Dad believes that he would take advantage of mom now that's she's with him. and she's away from us.

Steph: your mom loves you, whatever her boss does, he can't take away that love from your mom. So stop overthinking. They'll be okay soon. Your mom just needs some space..but it doesn't mean she wants to leave you already.

Athena: I'm just scared

Steph: don't be.. You want me there by your side?

I wasn't able to answer coz she immediately transfers into my bed. And she hugs me.

Steph: close your eyes and go to sleep. Stop worrying

Athena: thanks

Steph: that's what friends do.

Athena:( in my mind) is this still friends?

Steph: good night

Athena; goodnight

I close my eyes like what she said, It feels good to sleep beside her.
