Olivia Wood's POV
As my last class ended, I was relived. But the relief soon came to an end as I remembered my detention. Hopefully all I'd have to do would be wipe down some desks for an hour or whatever. I walked down the halls all the way to Snape's room. I opened the door. The only person I saw was Snape?
"Oh, am I the only one with detention today?" I asked him.
"No, I have one other student." he said flatly.
"Who?" I inquired.
"Me." I heard a familiar voice say.
No.
It was him.
It was...
"Draco?!" I asked in disbelief.
"It's Malfoy to you, Wood." he said annoyed.
"Just as I thought my day couldn't get ANY worse. Now I have a detention, alone, with Malfoy." I said Malfoy in a mocking tone.
"Don't act like this isn't a dream come true for you." he chuckled.
"There's such thing as bad dreams too, you know?"
"I swear to god Wood-" he was cut off.
"Would you two stop the chatting and get to work?" Snape spoke in a stern tone. He handed us cleaning supplies. "Now I will be gone for about 20 minuets, ok? If I find out that there has been anything going on besides cleaning, you will both have detention, together, for a week."
"Then we definitely won't be doing anything but cleaning, professor." Draco uttered.
"Good." Snape said as he walked dramatically out of the classroom. As he always does.
He shut the door behind him and I took the duster. Draco then sat down at one of the desks.
"Malfoy. Get off your arse and get to work. I will not let you just sit there and do nothing well I do everything." I stated.
"Make me." he smirked.
"Seriously?" I rolled my eyes.
I walked around the room slowly and started to dust things off the shelves. I was starting to get really frustrated that Draco would not get up.
"I guess I'll just have to tell Snape you weren't doing anything. Then we have detention for an entire week." I went over to a window to clean it off. "So I suggest you start helping."
I turned my back on him and began cleaning the window. I heard footsteps coming up behind me and I was satisfied I had made him stand up. Then I suddenly felt a cold hand grab my arm and spin me around harshly. And I was pinned to the wall.
Draco.
Fucking.
Malfoy.
Had me pinned to the wall.
I had been close to him before, but never this close.
"No one gives me orders. No one." he seethed. He placed his hand on my face as he ran his thumb down my bottom lip, the cold rings making indents on my smooth skin. "Look at you. How you tremble under my touch." he smirked. "What happened to the feisty girl I know? Huh?"
"G-get off me." I said my voiced quivered a little, my lips betraying me as I stuttered a bit.
"That's all you have to say? You really do crumble beneath me don't you, Olivia?" he then shoved my face to the side. "Pathetic." he spat.
He walked away and picked up something to clean with, like absolutely nothing had just happened. And to be very honest, I liked when he called me Olivia, instead of my last name.
No, Olivia, you don't like him calling you anything.
"What the fuck was that, Draco?!" I shouted, still in shock. He ignored me. "You can't just ignore me after that with no explana-"
"Actually, I can. Ignoring girls after something happens between us is what I do best." he interrupted.
"Fine. I don't care about you, or your sick ways." I huffed and continued cleaning these stupid windows. It was getting so hot in here. So I took off my Slytherin scarf and robe. I was finished with the windows so I returned to where Draco was to get some things to clean the desks. I felt Draco's eyes burning into me but ignored it.
"What's on your neck?" he asked.
"What? What do you mea-" Then I remembered why I wore a scarf. Thomas had given me a hickey. "I mean, nothing!"
"Who gave it to you?!" he growled. I could tell he was angry.
"None of your business! And besides, why do you care? You aren't jealous are you?" I asked as a small smirk crept onto my face.
"Hell no! You know what? Forget I ever asked." he stormed away.
"You know, you sure do seem to care a lot about what I do. If I didn't know better I would say you liked me."
He turned around and came back over. He came close to me. "I. Do not. Like you."
"No need to get defensive." I laughed.
"I am not getting defensive!"
"Well it sure seems like you are."
"You want to know what I think-" he stopped talking when we heard someone clear their throat at the door.
We turned to the door in sync. And Snape was right there.
"This doesn't look like cleaning to me." he stated.
"Well we were, it's just that we started to fight just as you came in." I tried my best to talk us out of it.
"No excuses, Miss Wood. Now, detention together, for one week. Or maybe longer if you two don't learn how to get along."
I opened my mouth to say something but closed it again. It was no use. Once Snape had made a decision, it was set in stone.
"You are dismissed. Same time tomorrow." he narrowed his eyes as we left.
Well. Time to prepare for a week of hell, I guess.
AHHHH! Can't wait to see what happens with them being in detention, alone...
