Nyx pov.

When i woke up for the second time im hit with a bit more pain. Squinting against the light i look around the room. I spot loki right next to me in a chair. His raven hair messed up a bit from obvious sleep. I speak softly "what happened loki?" I watch him wake completely up and reply "from what i heard you made a dumb mistake of putting shields on everyone else but not yourself. You woke up briefly earlier but you was tired from over exertion." I nod my head and look at myself my body is no longer littered with many burns and cuts and stuff. But i do have a knee brace on. Loki watches me closely to see if im truly ok or not. "How am i no longer burned?" Loki chuckles from beside me "you think i would just leave my friend all burned and cut up? No way so i healed you and the only part i couldn't fully heal was your knee." I was shocked at first but the completely childishly gleeful. "You just called me your friend eeeeeeek!!!! Thank you so much idiot king!!" This set him off into a laughing fit. When both of us was completely laughing the team burst in to see if i was awake. "Oh gods shes laughing like a maniac." A few more minutes of us laughing caused cap,nat,buck,and bruce to break out into laughter. After about ten minutes we all finally stopped laughing and calmed down. "Wheres matt?" I stared at them until Wanda came forward with little matt "mommy i heard you got a booboo let me fix it." He adorably tried to get to me faster "its ok matty mommy is alright just sore but you have to be careful of mommies knee got it?" He nodded quickly before reaching towards me. "Alright matty be gentle towards momma got it she is very sore so no squeezing." The second his small body hugged me i was happy. Loki made sure to hold part of him that was off the bed. I heard a click from a phone and looked towards thor. "What you guys look like a happy family, both you and loki look like parents holding your child." I looked at loki for a second before replying "we are a family all of us are, we are the most odd and different family out there." This got everyone smiling. I was happy to call these people my family, to call myself matty's mom and to call myself loki's friend. We definitely were not a normal family at all but we was the best kind stronger bonded than blood. We was bonded by love so true and strong. Even when we fought we still cared and loved each other. I spoke "out of any family i choose you guys to love and call my family and home no matter what." Many agreed a few was in tears. When i gazed around the room the bonds we had was clear.
N~hey idiot king you ok?
L~yeah its just ive never had a complete and happy family there was always problems.
N~aww well you got us idiot king you got your brother, the team, matty, amd me of course.
L~there isnt anyone id rather call my family than you guys, no place id rather call home than here.
N~me too.
L~your a great friend stupid mortal.
N~you too idiot king.
After my talk with loki i got up and went to my floor. Matty refused to let me make dinner or leave the living room away from his sight. I watched loki order my favorite takeout and get me hot cocoa. Looking up at him i smiled "its almost October another week before spooky season." He nodded will sitting down my glass. Turning on the tv i watched the news over our mission. The reporter remarked "the goddess from avengers came close to giving her life to her team and the world as from our reports she was severely injured but managed to get the tech back, from our sources it says the tech they got could have destroyed the world so lucky us to have such an amazing team of heros." I clicked off the news to watch some disney movies with matty. "The news exaggerated it i didn't almost die." Loki rolled his eyes before saying "it was a close call too close now drink your hot cocoa." Relaxing back i sipped my drink as hakuna matata started to play from the movie. I started singing the lyrics with matty as off key as possible earning a side glance from loki and smile. Of course by the second verse the others joined laughing the whole time. Finally the movie ended and we all voted on the little mermaid and then the hunchback of Notre dame. When Ursula's song unfortunate souls came on nat sang it perfectly. When she said sing i grabbed loki and whispered sing into his ear. I busted into laughter when he blushed but sang Ariel's part only in a more manly but silky voice. I was to busy laughing that i hadn't notice thor take photos and videos of me and loki interacting with each other. When the movie was finally over i played hunchback. It was my favorite not just because of the story but the meaning behind it as well. We sang along to almost all the songs when god help the outcasts came on. I started to sing with Esmeralda as it was my favorite song. I hadn't noticed anything or anyone as i closed my eyes and sung along. Thor took a video of me singing and it showed loki's reaction to my voice. When i finished i opened my eyes to see the team smiling wide, matty clapping his hands with a shocked but happy face, and loki completely shocked. About ten minutes later i was asleep cuddling matty.
