part four

Nyx pov.

As i finally finished unpacking i think about my conversation with loki. He seems a lot more comfortable than before. Id love to be his friend but im afraid to hurt him or scare him. I know he has been through a lot so im worried to tell him about my own past. Looking at my clock i see its about one in the afternoon. I look at a menu thats sat next to the hotels phone. I decide to order a large fry and a water. I love salad and stuff however i also love fries. When i tell them my order i sit back and wait. When i hear a knock twenty minutes later i hop up and answer them. When im given my food the young boy who came with who im assuming is his mom or sister says in a high pitch voice "mommy thats her thats the goddess from the hero team." The young looking mom looks at me and then her son "why dont you say hello Matthew dear." With that the child runs to me and squeaks out "hi im Matthew im a big fan of you your wery pwetty." I smile at the child when his mom says "im a teen mom and i work so i have to keep him with me sorry if it bothers you." I look at her and then the boy "its fine he is a great young man how long do you work today?" I watch her relax a bit more "i work till ten tonight." I look at the child then his mother "ill watch him then, while you work i can keep him entertained and make sure he behaves, and if he falls asleep you both can stay in my room i have two guest rooms you can use and dont worry i wont mind and if you need anything im here for two weeks." She looks shocked but also very happy "if your sure then thank you miss ill be back to check up on him ." i nod and smile holding the young boy. Searching her mind i see she has no bad intentions and that she really is struggling. She says a quick goodbye to her son and hurries to get back to work. I decide to entertain the child and also share my food. Suddenly my special phone goes off. This phone was designed by tony to have the hologram. I answer the call and tell tony to watch his language showing him little Matthew. "You made a friend then nyx." I smile as the child plays with the snow bunny i made him that moves like a real one. "Yes i did and his mom is struggling so like can we offer them help till they are able to be fine?" Tony nods his head and says "they can stay at the tower on your floor for a while till i get them a home and the mom a better job." I smile happy and ask where the others are. He calls the team over as i say "hey lil dude want to meet the avengers?" Matthew comes running over and i set the phone down so we both see the floating hologram. He smiles and giggles when he sees everyone. I tell them "this is Matthew my new lil buddy he is a huge fan of us." He is bouncing watching them all smile and say hello to him. Happy me and tony announce "both Matthew and his mother will be staying with us for a while so please be nice." Most nod while some ask "what about when you throw a party with alcohol?" Tony sighs and i answer "i can use my power to protect them and lock my floor up completely." With nods i smile happy that i have a lil buddy to hang out with for a while. We stay on the phone for 6 hours talking and letting Matthew ask all of his questions. When we finally hang up its 7 in the evening. For two hours me and matthew play and eat dinner. When 9 comes by matt is tired and i let him sleep. When its finally ten his mom comes back and i help her settle in while also telling her about the plan. I keep looking into her mind and see no bad intentions just a teen mom scared of not giving her kid the best.
A week passes by fast
On my final week here tony calls to tell me he has a house but it will be two weeks before they can move into the new home and tells me he will hire her for his company. Just as a secretary. I nod happy and wake Matthew up. I send his mom a text that me and Matthew was going to the park later. Once we eat breakfast i let Matthew color while i think. While thinking i start to cry lightly without my own knowledge till Matthew runs to me and hugs me. I look down at him when he tells me "big sissy please don't cry I'll make you bwetter. " smiling i hold Matthew close and stop crying. Later i take him out to the park and we have a blast. I pass a store that has a big teddy in its window and Matthew keeps looking at it. I pay for it with my card and hold his teddy for him. When we finally get back its two in the afternoon. When we are about to get to the hotel i see a guy mugging a woman and is about to kill or harm her. I tell Matthew to stay back and create a nanny with my magic who will protect him with her life. Jumping to the man i grab his knife and turn it to a rose. He punches me causing a big bruise on my cheek but i still grab this woman's things and return them to her. I then take the guy with one arm and bringing Matthew with me give him to the officer who had been called. After that i take matt back to the hotel and quickly get back to my room. The bruise hurts but i know by the morning it will be gone. When loki calls from my bracelet i put matt down for a nap and answer his call.
L-"hey wait what happened to your face?!"
N-"its nothing i stopped a guy from mugging a woman."
L-"didnt i tell you to be careful?"
N-"yes however i didnt want the woman to be hurt so i helped her."
L-"fine anyway how is your new lil buddy?"
N-"he is ok hes taking a nap right now we just went to the park."
L-"ok well i was checking on you anyway bye stupid mortal."
N-"see ya idiot king."
When he hangs up im left to my own head. As i lounge watching a movie i decide to watch more. Halfway through the first movie matt wakes up and joins me. Lucky i like Disney and was watching that. After three movies me and matt decide to eat. Its about six now so i get me and matt food from room service. His mom gets off at eight tonight so for two hours me and matt create flower crowns. Laughing i hear his mom enter the room. Looking at her she seems dead tired but is smiling when she sees the flower crowns. After a bit more we all settle down to sleep.
The final week at the hotel passes by

Packing up my stuff i wake up matt and his mom. Cara took her stuff down and then came and got mine and matts while i helped him dress in his outfit which was mostly me magically putting them on him and making jokes. Eventually we was on our way to the tower. These two weeks with Matthew i had been slowly getting better. As i got Matthew and his mom we went up to my floor. When we got up there i saw loki sitting looking anxious. "Hey idiot king whats wrong?" His head snapped up towards my voice and he visibly became relieved "there was a bomb near the hotel you stayed at i thought you was hurt or worse killed." I was shocked and asked him "how long ago was that?" He looked at me then the child "about five minutes ago." I sighed i had left the hotel more than an hour ago. Sitting down i told cara where to go for her room that was connected to Matthew's room. When they left the living room i asked loki how he had been. He told me that he missed my noise in the morning that told him to wake his arse up. I laughed and promised id be extra loud. "Hey idiot king do you want to umm be friends?" He looked taken aback but said...

Loki's pov.

She said "hey idiot king do you want to umm be friends?" It caught me off guard but i managed out "yes id like that a lot." She looked happy and more at ease. When she said "you can still be rude and sarcastic you know it makes things more interesting." I chuckled at her and promised to be extra sarcastic. Which earned me a light punch and a laugh. Smiling i stood up and asked more about her stay at the hotel. I wasnt going to admit ever how much i really missed her but i wouldn't act as if i was unaffected by her trip. Walking to the fridge i grabbed out a bowl of fruit and offered her some. Nyx took some and told me she would be downstairs. I said "why are you going downstairs?" She turned back "to workout duh." I nodded as she left. She was in perfect shape but still worked out everyday. An hour later the team came back and nyx was back on our floor. They rushed to see her standing eating an apple with me and Matthew while cara slept. When they saw her i heard them relax. Then i heard her voice in my head.
N~Hey idiot king Matthew seems to like you.
L~how are you in my head and able to communicate with me?
N~idk but its kinda cool.
L~yeah makes keeping secrets easier.
Looking at tony he was smiling at the young child. I wonder if one day instead of that being anothers child it would be my own sitting with my friends. I could tell for the next week i would see a different side to nyx when she is around the child. Barton spoke up "my wife has had children there a handful but so loving and it makes you happy to watch them grow." Nyx smiled down at the child as if he was her own. I cant wait for us to become best friends like i knew we could be.
