The Secret of Shambhala Discovery

Narrator pov

"So the secret of Shambhala is down this guy's throat?" Emma asks, and Nathan replies, "I guess so." They walk into a chamber where Nathan hands Emma the phurba, and she plunges it into the mechanism where it fits.

The grey like rock substance in front of them molds itself into a mountain like formation. "Nate, don't you know where that is?" Emma questions and he nods pulling out the brochure.

Pointing to the page and then the 3d figure in front of them, he says, "You see that peak there?" Emma and Chloe nods as he states, "Here, let me use your back for a sec Chloe. Which means...." drawing on the map he says, "The entrance to Shambhala must be right, here."

Emma gives a puzzled look when Nathan starts to laugh, she asks, "So, the three of us did it?" Nathan laughs some more and picks Emma up twirling her around saying, "Yes, the three of us did it....." he trailed off his eyes getting stuck on Emma's lips.

Starting to lean in for a kiss, he was sadly denied when Emma hopped off of him asking, "What was that?" Taking out her gun, she stood by Chloe who says to them, "Only one way out. You two ready?"

Nodding Emma climbs out first and starts shooting, Nathan backing her up telling both her and Chloe, "They must have come in the same way we did. We have to get to the entrance." Emma nods and goes ahead, getting in close and beating Lazarević's soldiers to the ground.

"Now's our chance, let's get out of here!" Chloe shouts at Emma and Nathan who run ahead of her, guns drawn and ready. "This should work." Emma says and picks up a lot of unused grenades.

"Duck!" She yells at Chloe and Nathan as she throws it dangerously close to the enemy who were blown back by the explosion. "I think the coast is clear." Chloe says and they go, but Mikayla and Jake are nowhere to be seen.

"Where could they have gone?" Emma asks, but sees Kaylie hovering over Jake. "What the hell happened?" She asks her friend who responds, "He was hit." Emma looks at his injury and helps him up saying, "Come on, let's go."

Chloe tells her, "He is going to be the reason we get caught, you have to leave him here." Kaylie interrupts saying, "What? No!" Emma insists on bring Jake though he was wounded, and Chloe says, "You're going to be the reason we get killed!" She kicks open the door, and they all leave the temple Emma carrying Jake with Nathan's help.

Emma's pov

"Come on, we've got to get out of here." Chloe says and I drag Jake and tell Kaylie, "Barricade the door!" Getting out of there, I kept carrying Jake though he was very heavy.

After avoiding Lazarević's soldiers for as long as possible, we had hit a dead end. "I was trying to save your skins." Chloe says, aiming her gun at us. "What the hell is this?" Flynn says, walking in gun aimed at Nate and I.

"Drop the guns, seriously." Flynn demands from me and Nate. Dropping my gun Flynn says, "Get her out of here, she's hurt. I'll take you to the train." Turning to Nate he says, "Unbelieveable, you just can't help yourself can you?" Nate grabs me from doing something stupid and he says, "Guess that makes us even." Flynn responds, "Not quite."

Lazarević walks in and I hide behind Nate a little. "So this little man, is Drake." Lazarević grabs my wrist harshly and has one of his soldiers take the phurba from me. "Did you carry him all the way from the temple, shame."

He tries shoot Jake but I jumped in the way and got grazed on my right tricep the bullet however, hit Jake in the head. "Fuck..." I groaned out as Nate bent down to check on me. "A woman of honor, how touching." Pointing his gun at Kaylie and I he demands to Nate, "Tell me what you found in the temple."
