The Train Ride

Emma's pov

"Nate, what the hell are we supposed to do now?" I yelled over the noise of the train. "Keep climbing!" He yells and I follow him up the side of the first car then the second. We repeated this until we were met with some soldiers of Lazarević's.

"I got this." I told Nate and stealthily took out a lot of them, leaving the last three to Nate. He shot them down with his .95mm pistol, and walked to where I was, "It's locked." I told Nate when I tried to kick the door open. "We have to find another way around." I say and climb back outside, I climbed a small ladder then jumped to the next open car Nate following close behind.

"Throw the grenade!" I shouted at Nate over the sound of the gunfire and he did, getting rid of the last of our assailants. "Don't they ever get tired?" I commented as we took out some more of them. Making more progress, we made it up by a few more cars, nearly at the front of the train.

"Nearly there, Nate." I say to make him feel a bit better. Of course something had to come along, and ruin the moment....that was another damn chopper shooting at us in addition to 4 other soldiers. I began shooting the soldiers rather than the chopper, with my shotgun I'd taken from a fallen soldier.

"Can't you shoot it down Em?" Nathan shouts over the the loud noise from the attacking chopper and train, "Nate, do you see an FAL or grenades anywhere?" He doesn't respond and I say, "That's what I thought now stop asking and just help me!" I shouted back shooting the soldiers who were on the next car.

"Nate get down!" I yell as he almost got hit by debris after the chopper shot again. Seeing a tunnel ahead and Nate still standing up, "Tunnel!" I shouted and ducked down in time with Nate.

Nathan's pov

"Nate, be careful okay?" Emma says and I nod back quickly, shooting both soldiers on top of the next car. "Can you handle the sniping?" I ask Emma who nods, so I toss the dragon sniper rifle to her. She takes out the soldiers using guns that scatter the bullets after firing, while I took care of the regular ones.

Kicking a door open I climb on top of another car, and cover Emma as she snipes most of our attackers. "Oh no, Nate get down!" Emma yells at me as a large soldier in heavy weight tactical armor starts shooting at us with a heavy machine gun.

Looking over I saw one of the bullets hit Emma in her right side, and she was starting to bleed a little. "Hang in there Emma!" I yelled out as I kept shooting at the lug attacking us. I kept dodging and shooting until the clip holding the wood logs I was standing on in place, our attack fell off with the wood.

Shortly after, I used a turret gun to take out that pesky chopper, "Enjoy the ride down, asshole!" I yelled at the crashing aircraft, looking at her I asked, "Emma you all right?" She nods looking dazed, and I put her in the next car behind a seat as I deal with the asshole who was calling the shots.

"Nate..." Emma mumbled out, she got up and walked towards me after Chloe walked in pointing her gun at me as she said, "Nate, get off the train." Grabbing Emma to steady her, her side was bleeding a little more, "Chloe, back away." Emma said, as she held up a semi-automatic pistol she found.

"Hold on, Emma." Chloe says turning to me, "I never asked for any of this. Or any of your bloody heroics." Turning to Emma she says, "Make sure he gets off the train for me." I yelled at Chloe, "Good luck with Flynn, you two really deserve each oth---" I doubled back in pain, seeing Flynn with his gun saying, "You really don't know when to quit do you? Look at your girl."

He points at Emma, her side still bleeding, "Why don't you worry about her more than Chloe. You know what I'll just make her suffer more, since you don't care about her." Before I can block or move her, he shoots Emma twice.
