AN INEVITABLE INTRUDER

CHAPTER THREE

SAMEER

I was surprised with my own behavior. I was feeling guilty for hurting Naina unconsciously. I never wanted to do that. My own past insecurities were the reason for my anger towards her. My unwanted anger had already hurt her, Maa & Nanu... So, it was time to change that. I'm still attracted to Naina & I'm surprised with it. I've never got attracted to any girl before. This was the first time that I'm feeling it.

Being the most eligible bachelor, I've always got every girls attention. But here, I was getting highly attracted to Naina. So, this was a first for me. Munna & Pandit always teased me that there will be a day when I will feel the attraction & Naina was drawing my attention towards her. What was so special in her, I don't know that yet but still I'm drawn to her... Naina is beautiful in her own way...

When I'd got married to Sunaina, I wasn't attracted to her. Sunaina was beautiful but nothing had fascinated me towards her. Everything about her appeared fake & that was the reason I could never love her. I wanted time to accept the unwanted marriage. Even if I never loved her, but still I respected her & fulfilled all her wishes. We never consummated our marriage. Maybe this was the reason for her to cheat on me with Kartik. But when I hired the private investigator, he had found many evidences where she was cheating on me with not only Kartik but also with few other guys. That was when I didn't care of what the families would think about her & I'd showed the evidences to everyone. No one argued with me when I filed for the divorce, not even Sunaina.

But the experience had left a sour taste in my life which was why I behaved rudely most of the times. My family & my friends knew this & have tried their best to make me understand that I need to let go of my anger & rudeness. But now Naina has struck my life with a storm that will surely disrupt my life & I can see that happening & that's the reason why I want to stay away from her.

It's not even a day & I can see myself changing. The rude Sameer Maheshwari has started melting. What is going to happen in the future? I don't want to think about that now. But I know that this Naina Agarwal was going to be the reason of that drastic change.

When she came back from the mall with Preeti & Swati, she seemed happy. And somewhere seeing her smiling had brought a smile on my face. She looked more enchanting when she smiles happily. I'd helped her carry few bags to her room & had wanted to apologize. But she didn't let me. My heart stopped beating the minute she'd taken a step towards me. After hearing her, I'd fallen a little more for her. She was kind too. I could feel the sudden shift between us when I'd got closer to her entering her personal space. But she didn't move & stood where she was. We stood there looking into each other's eyes deeply. I've never felt such connection with anyone before.

She was happy throughout the dinner. While talking to her parents, her eyes turned misty. I understood that she was missing them a lot. I was happy to hear her call my mother 'Maa" as we all called her. She was crying happy tears. When my mother took us all in a group hug, I'd placed my hand on her shoulder intentionally to check if I could feel the sparks. And Ohhh God... What should I say? It was not only me who felt the sparks but she also felt the same. We shared a look & instantly moved away.
