AN INEVITABLE INTRUDER

CHAPTER FIFTEEN

NAINA

When I got up the next morning, I saw Sameer's smiling face beside me... Ab kaisa feel kar rahi ho???", Sameer said checking my forehead... "Main thik hun Sameer..." "Arey waah Beta... Sunn kar accha laga... Chalo ab jaldi se fresh ho jao aur niche breakfast ke liye aa jao...", Vishakha Maa entered my room...

She turned to Sameer, "Tum abhi tak yahin ho??? Ab tumhe alag se kahun... Jao jaldi fresh hokar neeche aa jaana... Papa aur main tum dono ka wait karenge..." She left after helping me walk towards the bathroom... Sameer too left to his room...

I freshened up & was ready to go, when the door to my room opened... "Tum ready ho toh neeche chale..." I turned to see him leaning at the door frame, wearing black track pants & red t-shirt... He slowly walked towards me, "Tum aaj iss baby pink dress mein bohot cute lag rahi ho Naina..." I blushed at his comment & turned around... I was feeling a little dizzy due to the medications...

"Chalein... Maa aur Nanu hamara wait kar rahe honge..." I just nodded & took few steps towards the door, when my head start spinning... I was about to fall down, when his arms slid around my waist to balance me... I looked in his eyes to see his worried expression... "Tum aise karo Naina, yahin ruko... Main naashta le aata hun...", he said in concern... "Nahi Sameer... Mujhe akele naashta nahi karna... Maa aur Nanu ke saath karna hai... Unhone bhi hume miss kiya hoga na itne din se... Main thik hun... Chalo chalte hai neeche...", I had missed Maa & Nanu a lot & wanted to have breakfast with them...

"Thik hai... Jaisa tum kaho..." I couldn't believe that he agreed so easily... But his next action shocked me... He picked me up in his arms & started walking out of my room... My hands automatically went around his neck... "Yeh... Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai??? Maa aur Nanu kya sochenge hamare baare mein??? Mujhe neeche utaariye... Main chal sakti hun...", my voice choked at the end...

He gave me a stern look, "Haaannnn... Dekha maine ki tum kaise girne waali thi... Aur jyada socho mat... Maa aur Nanu ko maine sab bataa diya hai... Kuch ajeeb nahi sochenge humare baare mein..." I blushed knowing that they knew about us... "Ab tum itna sharma kyun rahi ho???", he asked softly while walking down the stairs... "Wohhh... wohhh... Aapne Maa aur Nanu ko sab bataa diya... Ab main unke saamne aise kaise jaaungi... Hey bhagwaan... Kya sochenge mere baare mein ki kaisi ladki hai, hamare bete ko fasaa liya..."

He chuckled, "Tum kuch jyada hi overreact kar rahi ho... Aisa kuch nahi sochenge tumhare liye... Khamakha apna dimaag mat chalao... Bimaar ho na, toh dimaag ko bhi zara break de do..." By the time he completed his sentence, we had reached the dining table... I lowered my eyes & didn't dare to look at Maa & Nanu...

"Naina...", Sameer's voice made me look at him... Our eyes locked for a brief moment as we heard the coughing sound around us... "Ab toh mujhe neeche utaar dijiye Sameer...", I whispered... "Haannn beta... Ab Naina ko chair par bitha de yaa fir usse aise hi naashta khilaane ka iraada hai...", Nanu teased...

Sameer blushed & slowly made me stand on my feet... He pulled the chair for me & as a good gentleman, he made me sit properly... I didn't dare to look at Nanu & Maa while answering their questions related to my health... Maa was about to get up to serve me breakfast when Sameer spoke, "Maa... Aap uthiye mat, main serve kar deta hun..." My breath hitched when he served me upma on my plate... He even filled up a glass of milk for me...
