For the next half an hour, You walked to Liz's house exhausted from the day's events. Once you reached her living room you set down the sleeping child with a slight grunt.
"Are you okay? Liz asked, looking at you curiously"
"Yea I am fine, my arms are just a little sore, that's all," you reassured the girl in pink.
"Ok, cool" she replied while climbing upstairs."
When you flopped onto the floor of her room you let out a light groan, the cuts from the glass starting to sting. on top of that your muscles now all the way relaxed started to ache.
Liz let out a sigh, "what now? "
"ah nothing, just didn't realize I would hurt this much."
"Well maybe think about the consequences that happen after you jump out of a window up 2 stories."
"HEY I HAD NO CHOICE WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE!?"
Liz gave a moment before opening her mouth, only to close it again.
"Exactly," you said slight smirk plastered on your face.
"Just go to bed," Liz barked.
You let out a small chuckle, then closed your eyes, but right before you dozed off you heard Liz's voice pipe up.
"thanks."
"for what?"
"well let me put it this way, you have powers that could easily stop us babysitters and could hurt so many people but yet not only have you been pretty chill about this and agreed to everything I have said, you also saved a kid without causing chaos for us."
"Oh, then your welcome, I guess."
You both sat their in silence for a few moments before a scream pierced through the silence, the both of you shot up and went to the guest room where the girl was sleeping to see ther in a cold sweat and crying. You slowly sit on the side of her bed and grab her shoulders gently. the frantic girl looked up to you and calmed slightly, breath still short and rushed. Youe eyes flashed a cool grey before returning to the original color, The girl shortly after calmed completely.
"hey" you whispered to the girl, her teary eyes made contact with yours signaling she was listening.
"whats you name?" you questioned, tone still hushed
"Gwendolyn"

i am sorry this should be WAY longer for the time I have been absent. after the holidays I kinda laid off of the technology and our new semester means new classes... yay
