Erik's POV

My little angel had the most hurt look on her face I have ever seen, just before she ran out of the room. Raoul quickly stood to go after her. I stood, but then heard the front door slam. I turned to look out the giant window in my office to see that Gwen was sprinting down the driveway at an impressive speed.

"Damn it...." I muttered under my breath. The whole point of keeping Christine's survival secret was so she wouldn't get hurt. My sweet little angel.

Raoul came back into my office with a horrified look on his face. "We have to go get her!" He yells.

"Give her time." I know how she thinks. She's going to need time to think, and to be alone.

"How are we going to find her?!" He asks in disbelief. I turned to face him.

"She'll be near music." I simply reply. There's a knock on the door. "Come in." I call. One of the maids comes in and hands me a letter. my eyes widen when I see it's from London. This letter held the fate of my precious Christine.

"What is it?" Raoul asks curiously.

"It's from London." His eyes widen as well.

"Open it." He says eagerly. We both brace ourselves. I open the letter and read it aloud.

Dear Mr. Destler,

We are happy to inform you that your wife had woken up from her comma.

I nearly drop the letter. She's alive. She's awake. My angel. Tears invade my eyes. I look up to see Raoul with the same expression. I continue to read.

Unfortunately she has suffered memory loss. Please, do not come to visit her because when I mentioned your name, she did not know who you were.

My face fell. She doesn't remember me? Oh my angel....

She keeps speaking of her angel of music, however. She said he nearly killed her childhood sweetheart. We are all rather confused, but we hope this makes some sense to you. Don't lose hope, this could be temporary. I will update you further if progress is made.

-Dr. Marquis

I had to sit down. The love of my life, the very thing I live for doesn't remember our love. She remembers me as a murderer who stood in the way of her and her chance at a normal life. I couldn't believe this. I didn't even try to stop the tears that came to my eyes.

"I-I'm so sorry...." Raoul whispers. I just nod slightly. I really just want to be left alone. I can see he has tears in his eyes as well. He turns and leaves without another word. Once he's gone I go down to my domain below ground, and let all hell break loose. Anything and everything in sight I smashed and destroyed in frustration. After all my years on earth the devil has taunted me and mocked me. He finally found a way into my soul. This was to much. Christine was my life, I will surely die knowing that she is no longer mine. My angel. My angel

"Your chains are still mine! You belong to me!"

Gwen's POV

I ran all the way to Phantasma. I needed time to cool off. Their going to think I'm insane for sure now. I hid behind a building and wiped the tears from my eyes. I'm not insane! I'm not! It's not my fault that I think the way I do. Oh my gosh.... I blamed my dad for all this. I didn't mean anything I had said! Ugh it's all a mess. I decided to walk through the park to take my mind off of things. After half an hour of walking I came to the back of the park. The only people there were a group of boys who looked about my age. They had a few snobby looking girls with them. I turned to leave but one of them shouted at me.
