Gwens POV

I can't believe that happened. I'm such a freak! I can't even speak properly, much less sing. My dad is the best music teacher their is and I know I disappointed him! He gave my mother the voice of an angel, and here I am. The freak who can't even get through three lines of a song.

I didn't even realize where my feet were taking me until I found myself in the music hall, up on the catwalks. I made my way to a dark corner and laid down. I needed to calm my thoughts before I got a massive headache. I always get bad migraines because of my imagination. It really is annoying. I closed my eyes and listened to the singers rehearsing for a concert. Oh how I wish I could be a part of that. I've always wanted to be a singer, because of my love of music. Now that dream is shattered. Suddenly the music stopped.

"Has anyone seen my daughter?" I hear my dad ask from below me. My eyes open and I mentally groan. I hear some chatter but then I hear someone say 'catwalks'. Oh joy. Here he comes. I really don't want to talk about what happened. Not now.

After a minute or two, I hear him coming up to where I was hidden. I quickly brush my tears away and lay back again, staring at the ceiling.

"Gwen?" He calls. Within seconds he's standing over me. For at least two minutes we just stare at each other. He finally decides to break the silence.

"Are you oka-" I cut him off

"Yep."

"Do you want to ta-"

"Nope"

I avert my eyes from his intense gaze. After a few seconds he sighs in defeat and lays down next me. We both close our eyes when the music starts back up again. Why can't he just see that this is all we need. No words need to be spoken to have a connection. It's just the two of us and the music. The closest bond their could be.

Erik's POV

After Gwen and I got home I set to work on writing her a song. I'm going to get her to sing, and have confidence in herself. I've decided to work in the library, and not in my music room, because Christine is reading in here. I always write better when Christine is around.

Suddenly we hear a scream from Gwen's room. I leap to my feet and dash to her room. I throw open her door to see her in a towel and wet hair. There's still shampoo in it, and it's all over her face.

"What's wrong?" I ask, taking in the frantic girls appearance. She just points with wide eyes to the bathroom. I walk into her bathroom to find a spider on the edge of the bath tub. I roll my eyes and walk to the doorway.

"Really? A spider?" I ask sarcastically.

"Spider?!" I hear Christine screech. I can't help but chuckle at my two beautiful angels. "Erik! Quit laughing at us and get it out!" Christine demands, but she can't help but laugh as well. I shake my head and roll my eyes again as I pick up the spider by one of its legs. I then carry it to Gwen's window. The two women back up to the other side of the room and Gwen shrieks again when I bring the spider out. After I put the spider outside I turn to my angels. Without warning we all bust up laughing. Who knew a spider could cause so much trouble?
