(DECONSECRATED) FRANXX vs. EVA01

Chapter 3.

"So they were called FRANXX's. Interesting." Shinji thought, back in his EVA. While all the other FRANXX were skating across the ground, he had no such luxury. He ran, keeping up pace with them. He could go faster of course, but he needed to follow them. After revealing his name and what he piloted, the blue FRANXX had told him that he would have to come with them. They would be his escort, he assumed that this wasn't something that could be decided. He put up no resistance and now here they were. After what felt like an hour, a dome-like structure came into view.

"Wow..." Shinji murmured. They arrived after going through an entrance made for the FRANXX's, into what appeared to be a hanger. Each FRANXX docked in their respective spot, while Shinji looked for a place to dock in. He settled on the one near a FRANXX he hadn't seen yet. A gold and red unit, that looked just the tiniest bit more serious than the other FRANXX. He docked, then exited via plug, whispering to his mother that he would come back. The plug entrance barely made it to the platform he had to step on, as the platform measured up to a FRANXX exit, not an EVA. He managed to reach it, and was greeted by two guards.

"Come with us... pilot." One of them spoke, unsure on what to call Shinji. Shinji looked at both of them, before silently stepping forward. One of them gestured for him to come forward, while the other went behind to make sure he couldn't run. Not like he was planning to.

"There he goes." Goro said, watching the guards take Shinji. He thought of the Evangelion, which continued to surprise him. He had initially thought that the FRANXX would have to carry it due to being too slow. When it was revealed that it could run as quick with them, and without pause, most of them shook their heads in disbelief. The rest of the parasites looked on with him, as Shinji disappeared into a corridor.

"What do you think they're going to do to him?" Futoshi asked.

"He's probably going to be questioned, and once that happens, I don't know." Ichigo shrugged, before breaking her eyes away and moving towards the girl's changing room. Goro looked at her go for a moment, before going to his respective room. The rest of the group followed suit.

After many twists and turns, Shinji finally arrived in what appeared to be an interrogation room. He walked into it, as the door behind shut closed. It was probably locked. He sat down in a chair, facing the old man across from him. Part of this man's face was mechanical, as Shinji noted, as he opened his mouth,

"Hello, Shinji. It's nice to finally meet you. Let's begin, shall we?"

The conversation that followed was long, but not at all boring. Shinji learned of the Klaxosaurs, and of the FRANXX. How humanity stayed safe in these "plantations." He was also told about the APE council, which ruled humanity and tried to preserve it as best as they could. When asked about where he came from, Shinji decided to say that all he could remember was his name and details regarding his EVA. Telling Dr. FRANXX, the name of the old man, everything would only further complicate things. Although Shinji could tell the old man was smart enough to know that Shinji was hiding a few things, he didn't say anything and continued asking Shinji about the EVA. When probed about what it was made from, Shinji simply replied that he couldn't remember. He could near the end of the conversation that the old man was frustrated at the lack of information he was providing.

"Hmmph. That is all boy." The door opened, revealing the two guards that had escorted him in.

"Take him to the Quarantine." The guards nodded, and Shinji got up to follow them. After another few twists and turns, and even a trip down an escalator Shinji found himself in what seemed to be a sort of biosphere. The guards left him there, once again shutting the door. Shinji then looked down to see a sort of path leading deeper into the artificial forest. He slowly walked through, his fate unknown to him.
