4. Flying, Floating, Falling

2 weeks later...

Boun went downstairs. He walked to the family room, meeting with his housemates whose face had not been seen by him for almost two weeks. There were Sammy, Earth, and Kris watching something on TV before they finally realized Boun's presence.

"Aw," Kris voiced his surprise. "I thought you have been a permanent Phayao resident."

Sammy laughed at Kris teasing Boun. Both continued the joke, but Boun was distracted by Earth's question.

"Has the filming finally done?"

"Umm," Boun replied with nod. "They said, there would be a wrap-up party later."

"Anyway," Sammy rejoined. "We've visited your Pao last week and he already walked without scrutches."

"I know," Boun commented. "Earth told me."

Sammy, then, argued with Earth, because she thought Bound had not known yet. Earth said he only sent Boun a picture of Prem walking by himself.

"Good morning everyone!" P'New entered the room from outside. "What is it making you so noisy in the morning?"

The four people were silent, pretending to watch TV except Earth who was scrolling down his phone screen, and Boun wai at P'New.

"Dao said, you arrived midnight last night," P'New greeted Boun. "Will you go to Wab coffee today? Your fans have been waiting since last week."

"I still need some rest," Boun reasoned. He was not in the mood that day.

Kris smirked. "Now, P'Boun needs some rest. Next time, he goes to Prem. His fans have to be so patient."

"Oh, that's right!" P'New was aware about the matter about Prem. "I will help you asking Patty about Prem's therapy schedule."

Boun took a deep breath. The only one who got an eyeful of that sight was Earth. Earth mentioned nothing, but gave a sign to P'New to check on Boun again.

"Is something wrong?" P'New ended up asking.

Boun turned his face to P'New after, earlier, he stared blankly downward. "Will you..." Boun hesitated.

Sammy and Kris paused their conversation about the movie they were watching and paid attention the Boun.

"...help me with something else?"

Patty was walking at the mall, accompanied his kid named Prem. This young man was not a difficult person to manage. He had a good sense of humor although he did not talk too much.

The vibration from inside his waist bag startled Patty. He hurriedly took his phone out. The name on the screen calmed him down. The caller was one of his good colleague. "Oh, Khun New khrab... Sawasdee khrab..."

"Where are you, Patty?"

"Prem is going shopping. I'm at the shopping center." He replied. "Do you want to talk to him"

"Patty," P'New exhaled heavily. "Boun will not be able to go there for a while. So, he can not accompany Prem to therapy. I hope the family is able to understand."

"He must be really busy," Patty commented.

"Well..."

The discontinuation built an idea in Patty's head. He thought he knew, but he was not sure. "I see. Anyway, Prem is gonna come back to his condo in Bangkok a week after his last therapy session. Let them meet there."

"Boun won't make it, too."

Patty exhaled heavily. He could understand, but he did not want to fully do that. "For the same reason khrab, Khun New?"

"Umm, I think so."

On the other hand, Patty knew Boun had fully right to step back. That young man might felt that the universe was not fair to give a second chance for Prem but not for him. "Okay khrab. I'll do something about it."

"Thank you, Patty. See you soon."

"Khrab. Sawasdee khrab." Patty ended the call. He stared at a young man's back who slowly turned around to see him. "What is it? Are you done?" Patty asked.

Prem came closer to Patty. "It's P'New, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is. What's wrong?" Patty asked him back. "If you want to greet him, I'll call him now."

"No need, P'Ty..." Prem prevented him. "Did he say if P'Boun have come back?"

"He did not talk about that, but..."

"Hmm?"

Patty smiled bitterly. He nodded, making up his mind. "Should we sit and talk after this?"

Prem chuckled. "What was that, P'Ty? Why so sudden?"

Patty shrugged. "I do not know exactly what happened but I can tell you what I know," He said. Whatever happened, happened. Patty only had an intention to save his kid feeling. "I'll tell you what happened before the accident."

P'New hung up the call. He could sense that Patty must got an idea what the reason was. Whatever Patty was thinking when P'New could not describe the exact reason, Patty must had a clue already.

"I will only help you with your couple's problem this time, Boun," P'New warned Boun before leaving the room. "You have to know that I'm not supporting your decision."

Seeing P'New walked away, Kris turned his back at Boun. He preferred watching the movie to getting into others' business. Sammy eyed Earth, but Earth just took a brief look at Boun, then he kept himself busy with his phone again. Sammy had no choice but following Kris' step.

"Aren't you guys gonna scold me like P'New?" Boun threw the question to the three who did not react to him.

Earth sighed. "You know what you are doing, don't you?"

"Umm," Boun nodded.

"P'New said, he did not support you. Will you change your decision after you heard that?"

Boun shook his head. "I won't."

Earth smiled. "Then, why did you want us to spend energy to scold you? You won't consider another options anyway."

"I want you guys to understand me this once," Boun replied. "I've never been like this before. It's hard for me, too."

Sammy forced a smile on her face as she patted Boun's shoulder. "Don't think about us. You are the one who will take all the risk. You have to worry about yourself."

Boun breathed in hardly. He knew what he wanted. There was no other way.

Earth clicked his tongue. "You've made a decision, so don't give us that sad look!"
