✨The Beauty After Midnight✨
My HairMy hair
I never got the chance to embrace it
Nor the chance to care it
Now I do
From the coily ends to the wavy roots
I hope you love yours as much as I do, too.Regardless of the brittle ends and the single strand knots,
It all comes with the territory
Whether I like it or not
Though shrinkage may get disrespectful
There's nothing more impactful
Than seeing a black woman of a high status
Wearing her hair in its most natural stateI wished in my younger days
I saw more women like me
Perhaps I would not have turned to the creamy crack
I'm thankful for winning myself back.
My hair, my crown, my glory.
Every strand on every head has its own story,
I'm glad that you took time to hear mine.
