Raindrops lightly stream down the large dorm window, collecting near the bottom like dust. Bria stares blankly listening to the soft sound of rain, while washed away in a stream of her own thoughts.
Her long hair hung over her left shoulder in a loose braid. She's pulled from her thoughts as the soft creaking of the door meets her ears. Her braid slides off her shoulder, dropping against her back as her head turns towards the sound.
Callum slips in through the door. Bria never would have noticed if she hadn't heard the door open. His dark cloak blended perfectly with the shadows, and she wasn't expecting anyone seeing as Draco and Nat were already fast asleep.
His hands slowly move up to the hood of his cloak, gently pulling it off. His rings were visible but only from the small glint of moonlight. She caught sight of him, quietly hoping for him to somehow break the silence between them. No, not just hoping- waiting.
This past week he had completely brushed her off. He had barely spoken to her unless it was necessary, let alone glanced her way. She had tried multiple times to ask him what the matter was and each time he always seemed to find a way to escape answering her question.
After doing a lot of thinking the past two days, she managed to come to the conclusion that perhaps she herself was the problem. In her own way, it made sense. In the past, almost every time things seemed to be going good in her life something always seemed to pull the rug right out from underneath her, knocking her right back to a low point in her life.
Despite that, for the past hour she has been clinging to the small hope that Callum would walk through that very door with an explanation. Not just an explanation- reassurance that she wasn't the problem for once.
There he was. Just like she had hoped, he had walked straight through the door- only there was no explanation, let alone spoken words. Just the same old dark brooding expression. Nothing more.
A deep pang of disappointment, settled quickly in the bottom of her stomach. She yearned for answers, and wished that it could be some small argument they had. That way they could at least talk through it. Sadly, they didn't talk at all. Both burning with so much to say, but only one of them willing to talk about it.
Callum slowly moves over to his bed, taking his cloak off and then sliding underneath the covers. She stays put, laying back beside the window and watching as the rain falls. She planned on only staying by the window a few more minutes, however her sudden exhaustion had other plans for her. Callum on the other hand lay wide awake, struggling to drown out the constant reminder of his fears.

An hour passes by and he managed to distract himself, focusing on the things around him. Noticing the rain had stopped, he realized Bria hadn't made it to her bed before she past out. He quietly slips out of bed, slowly walking over to the window where he had last seen her.
She was curled up beside the window, her head resting on her arm while snoring softly. It wasn't your usual obnoxious snore like Malfoy's but more of a slight catch in breath with a low rumble. He found this to be quite amusing and like he mentioned before, irritatingly adorable. For one small moment, seeing her like this seemed to drown out all worries, doubts, and fears that had been chasing him around lately. In this small moment a bittersweet thought arose in his mind.
Even with her messy hair, slipping from it's elastic and falling out of her loose braid, even with the soft shadow of dark circles forming under her eyes from all the sleep less nights, even with the dribble of drool running down her lip, in his eyes nobody- not even in a million years, would ever come close enough to compare to her beauty. Even if she hadn't showered in a week, or hadn't brushed out her hair in days, to him she was still beautiful. In fact, to him she was the most beautiful thing he's ever laid eyes on.
