A ray of light peeks through the curtains of the large dorm window. Bria begins slowly waking up, taking in a deep breath as her hand begins gently rubbing her forehead. As she sits up the aftermath of the firewhiskey washes over her and she groans. She begins brushing her messy tangled hair away from her face. After about five minutes of sitting up and staring at the floor, the concerning realization that she barely remembers a thing hits her right in the stomach. She tries to piece together the few flashes of last night she does happen to remember but none of it made much sense. She glances around the room, noticing both her roommates absence and realizing they must have left early for breakfast. She longed to curl back up under the covers and pretend she didn't exist just for a day, but the thought of trying to explain herself the next day gave her just a tad more motivation that she desperately needed to be productive.
After about ten minutes she managed to pull herself together, and change into clean clothes. Her hair was a tangled mess, nevertheless Bria didn't give a sh*t. Instead of spending another fifteen minutes struggling to brush it out she pulls it into a messy bun and tells herself she'd deal with it later.
Once she gets to the great hall she notices how at least one fourth of the school looked just as pissed and hung over as she did. She takes a seat beside Nat who was half asleep and resting her head on the table.
Bria glances around hoping to see Nick and ask him about what happened last night but he was nowhere to be found. She begins fiddling with the dark silvery ring, trying to remember how she came across it.
Her breath catches in her throat as she remembers a faint flash of something she hadn't before. Callum. She remembers being with him at some point, but can't recall what actually happened.
She scans the Slytherin table, looking for him but just like Nick he was nowhere to be seen. Until about ten minutes later when he slips in, taking a seat beside his sister.
Bria notices something odd about his hands but she couldn't be sure if it was something, or just her mind playing tricks on her from a distance.
In the hallways she struggles to get to class, overwhelmed by the sea of people. It didn't normally bother her but today she didn't feel like getting ran over by a super tall person again.
Her head bobs above the crowd trying to make sure she is going the right way. As she began shuffling through the crowded hallway she noticed Callum. Out of the corner of her eyes she could have sworn she saw blood and she decides to try and get a closer look.
She was right. It was blood. His knuckles were bruised and bleeding. 'What the actual f*ck..' She thought to herself.
Her eyes widened slightly and a chill ran down her spine. He pauses in the middle of the halls, turning. Turning to face Bria. His eyes had gone dark but his expression went blank, and once again she found herself with more questions then she had answers to
She started walking in his direction intent on asking what the hell happened. However she was stopped as an unusually tall first year crashed into her, knocking her to the floor. By the time she managed to pick herself back up, Callum was gone.

Bria enters the class, already tense from before. She carefully takes a seat and opens her potions book to the page listed. Nick walks through the door, with the hood of his cloak pulled over his face.
He takes a seat beside her, purposely avoiding her gaze. She stares at him, expecting him to come up with a list of his normal excuses or explanations.. but he doesn't. Instead, he remains silent.
