It had been a couple weeks since that day. Callum wondered what this unfamiliar growing feeling was. The more time he spent with Bria the more he longed to get to know her. He wanted so desperately to know everything about her. It began to drive him crazy the more he thought about it.He was torn. He'd never had someone to call a friend before, and he wondered if this is what it was like. He noticed that night at the astronomy tower, that a strong desire to protect her was growing inside him.
Callum wasn't one who fancied change, he liked the familiarity of the way he's been raised. He liked always being sure of everything. However.. whenever he was with her everything seemed to change.
Conflicted with whether or not to embrace this new feeling or to fight it off, Callum grew distant from his sister Dalia. Growing up they told each other everything. Only now he refrained from telling her certain things, already knowing how she'd twist it into some form of weakness and use it against him.

Breakfast this morning seemed to pass slower than usual. Callum sat at the slytherin table beside his cousin, barely picking at his food.
"Are you going to eat that?" Draco asked, pointing to something on Callums plate.
He shook his head and Draco began reaching for it. Just before he was able to grab it, Dalia swoops in, swiping it first and taking a bite.
"Are you f*cking joking?" Draco shouts, glaring at Dalia.
"Piss off." She hisses, taking another bite.
As the two begin to argue Callum sighs. His eyes begin to wander over to the Ravenclaw table, searching for Bria. When he doesn't find her he comes to the conclusion she must be in the courtyard again.

Later that day during his free period Callum wanders throughout the Library. He scans through the pages of an old copy of advanced potions. He had always been quite interested in potions and spent a lot of time in the library writing and rewriting his notes until he had it memorized.
As he continued scribbling down side notes and important details, noise from the section behind him caught his attention.
"You deserve nothing." A girl hissed.
Callum recognized the bitter tone instantly. Katerina Zabini. Blaise's older sister.
"I don't recall asking for your opinion Zabini. I don't have time for this." Another voice says.
He recognized the other soft voice, faster than the first. Bria Elizabeth.
"You think you're better than everyone else don't you?" Katerina shot back irritably, while trying to snatch a book from Bria's hand.
Bria tries to walk off but Katerina moves in front of her, blocking the way. In response Bria swerves the other way. She begins walking away when Katerina grabs her wrist and yanks her back. Her book is knocked out of her hand and she quickly picks it back up, just as Katerina takes a step closer.
"I'm not finished talking b*tch." She growls in her ear.
Callum stands up, having enough of Katerina's "little games". He walks hastily over to the next section, rolls his eyes at Katerina and mutters. "Bloody prat." Then grabs Bria's hand, pushing past Katerina.
He walks with her, out of the library and down the hall. As they walk Callum inspects her hand, noticing tiny nail markings on her wrist. Katerina's grip had been so tight her nails had dug into Bria's skin.
