It was a seemingly ordinary day. Everything went well— the mission you've just finished with Yuno, Mimosa, and Klaus. If only you didn't feel like a burden to them that is. The kind newbie, the frigid, but caring mother hen, and the genius four-leaf clovered grimoire owner were perfectly in synch as they went against the enemy forces earlier, while you, being the useless piece of trash you believed yourself to be, only provided very little assistance.

"[Y/N]-senpai, Yuno-kun, Klaus-kun, we did great!" Mimosa happily cheered. Yuno merely looked at her while Klaus smiled proudly, pushing his glasses up, "This was too easy." the man commented upon looking back at the place.

You only hum in reply, not really in the mood to converse with them. Though Mimosa, was quite the persistent talker, "Would you like to join us for dinner, [Y/N]-chan?" she asked.

As an introvert who rarely goes out unless one asks you to come along, you pondered on the question, as this may pose various oppurtunities for you to finally get closer with members of different squads. It may even boost your own confidence. 

"Thank you for the invitation, Mimosa. But I have to decline tonight... I have other plans." the advantages outweigh the disadvanatages greatly, but you were plainly tired and wanted to do nothing but sleep in bed. 

Slightly pouting at your answer, the girl suddenly realizes your reason for doing so and only nodded in acknowledgement, with a smile still present on her lips. 'I wish I could smile like that...'

The trip back to the Golden Dawn base was quick as a feather. With a single blink of an eye, Klaus was already reporting to your Captain with utmost respect while you were staring with a far-off look on your face, not really listening to anything he said until your captain spoke; "Good job, everyone. You may rest and take your leave."

Saluting to the masked man, you sighed heavily as exhaustion took over your body, but an eerie feeling that someone was watching you made you shiver in place. You turn to look at your captain, who was busy with his papers. 'As if he'd ever look at me.' and with that you close the door and made way to your room.
