I walked into Ray's resting room to see him still unconscious on his makeshift bed. I sigh and walk over to him and sit down the ground. I was slightly on edge about this place,we ended up giving in to that woman's pleads. Ray seemed so peaceful as of right now,usually he was on edge and grim. This gave him a new light,a since of calming. I reached my hand over swiped away some hair and in the process shoved away his emo bangs a little. I noticed he started to twist and turn in his sleep,I brought my hand away quickly. His eyes shot up and he sat up in a frenzy. He looked around but then looked to me. "Y-Y/N?" He stutters out as he brings me into a hug,I smile softly and hug him back. "Good morning Ray. Though it's not morning." He pulls away"I'm so glad you're alright." He then looks around the caves walls"where am I?"

"I can't actually answer that in detail." I frown"where's Emma and the others?" He asks clearly worried. "Emma is in the other room. I can take you to here if you wish." He nods"and the others?" "They're also here,though I'm not sure where." I apologize"how did I get here?" I cross my arms"geez you ask a lot of questions. But it's ok,you don't know where you are so I understand. Well,all I know is he brought you here."

"He?" I nodded. "Not long after arrived here,another hooded figure showed up carrying you. I offered to take care of you and Emma for them,but the hooded woman seemed like she wanted to take of Emma so I let her." His eyes widened"you let a stranger take of Emma?!" I let out a nervous laugh"sorry. She just seemed so trusting." He stands up"idiot! She's probably dead!" I stood up as well and he walks over to the flower filled lantern at the corner of the room. He picks it up and walks into the hallway. "Ray!" I call out to boy as I walk beside him. "I have to show you where Emma is,remember?" He nods and I take the lantern from him,as well as his hand.

"Oh and Ray?" He hums"earlier you called me 'sunshine',why was that?" He stayed silent for a moment"b-because so far you've seen to only look on the bright side of things. L-Like the sun." I nodded"that makes sense." We continue onto Emma's room in silence.

"Emma!" Ray yells rushing past me and running over to the ginger girl. He sits down on her right side while I sit on her left. "Emma?" Nothing. He looks to me in a panic"what happened to her?" His green hues held panic and worry. "It's ok,calm down. She got a high fever and passed out from blood loss. She's alright now though." Ray placed his hand onto her arm"Emma...Emma!" Her eyes fluttered open tiredly. "R-Ray?" Ray gave a smile of relief as I watched the worry drain from his eyes. "Ray!" She screams wrapping her arms around the boy. "You're alive! I'm so glad!" Ray hugs her back and nods into her. "Yes,im happy to see you to." She pulls away and looks to me"Y/N,were you the one who took care of me?" I shook my head"no."

She then looks around confused. "Where are we?" Ray bits his lip"so you're in the dark as well..."they turn to me,clearly asking for what happened. "After you ran off Ray,Emma and I found Gilda and Don's groups. Emma said she would go check out the situation,however passed out due to a high fever and blood loss. That's when the hooded woman appeared. I was,and still am skeptical of her,but we finally gave in. She told us she could heal Emma faster than we could. It seems like it worked. But when we arrived here,she ushered Emma to her. I offered to take care of you,Emma. But the lady seemed to desperate so I gave you up to her. Finally another hooded figure appeared,this time a man with Ray. He placed him in another room and well,that's about all."

"I see...so we rescued at the same time but different places. Are they together? Who are they? And more importantly,are they on our side?" Ray hums"I don't think they're hostile. I only have vague memory of her,but her voice stayed with me. She seemed so kind and gentle also her voice was beautiful." Emma states as Ray sweat drops"that wasn't the point." Ray then sets a hand on his chin"if they're enemies I don't understand why they would help us."

"Could this be Mr.Minerva's doing?" Emma suggests"I mean it makes sense,a human who fights against farming of children." Ray nods"it's possible." He drops his hand"even if he's not here,these could be his comrades." Ray then stands up and picks up the lantern. "We've got to find our way out of here." We follow him into the hall.

Footsteps were heard causing Ray to stop as we bumped into him. "Someone's coming." He whispered to us as a light was shown,and that's when the hooded woman appeared. "E-Excuse me-"Emma starts but is easily cut off by the woman who rushes to Emma. "You're alright! I'm so glad you recovered. How do you feel?" She smiles"uh...b-better." She then reaches her covered hands to Emma's head and turns it. "The bleeding seems to have stopped as well. And your fever is gone. The healing herbs worked!" She then turns to me"thank you for watching over them." I nodded shyly"you two are forbidden from any hard work! If you get sick,it's dangerous!"

Ray didn't seem to care about what she said. "You three did a great job at escaping from that farm. It's alright now,you're safe here with us. Please relax and stay here for the night." Emma then speaks up"sorry,but what about our friends? The ones who came with us." She turns on her heel"right,please follow me. We've just finished setting up dinner." We follow the woman down into the cave. "Excuse me,but what about the hooded man who saved me? Is he your companion?" She glances back at us"oh you mean Sonju? Yes." She turns forward"he's here to."

"So it's not Mr.Minerva then..."Emma notes"Minerva?" Emma nods"William Minerva. Maybe you've heard of him?" She stayed silent and we continued on. Suddenly I felt Ray pull me into him,I blushed profoundly at the sudden act. "R-Ray?" I stutter out. "Hey listen,thank you. Thank you truly for helping us. You got me out of a real pinch I'd say. But I'd just like to ask one thing. Why did you save us?" She stops walking and glances to us"why are demons protecting livestock?" Emma stopped in her tracks. "Wha..."her voice gets quiet.

"Both of you are demons right? You and that man." I then heard clinking behind me,I glanced to see the man with a weapon,"well?"
