The fire lit up the dark night sky. Tomorrow we'd be arriving at the infamous Goldy Pond. It had been days since any of us had gotten sleep. Emma was tired but was still quite useful and upbeat,Ray was tired and exhausted,a little more irritated than usual and the man was still upbeat and lively. Maybe because we'd die soon. I was extremely tired and loopy,everything was funny to me and my sentences didn't even make any sense. "Everyone is safe and sound." Emma sighs out"what?" Ray asks"we're not all together right now,but Gilda and the others are at the shelter,Phil and the others who stayed at the house. Before we left,that man asked me if our decision was the right one. He didn't have to ask though. From the moment I decided to go with it,I was scared. Is this the right move? Are we making a mistake?" Emma continued.

"I can't keep looking back,I have to keep moving forward. I can't afford to lose myself,I know that...but still I'm scared that the choices we made were wrong." Emma went on for what seemed like forever. "Ray,I've decided to talk to him. I've had enough-"she stands up"I'm going!" Ray's eye(s) widen"Emma! Wait!" I then let out a loud laugh"Rayyy stop being so worriful...just calm down."

"That's not even a word." I cross my arms"of course it is! I am the smartest one here!" I declare"you're the most tired one here." He corrects"no I'm not!" I then lean back and my body hits the cold ground. I then put my fingers in the air"one...two..."I start to count my fingers"Ray!" I sat up"I couldnt count to after 30!" I then grabbed onto his arm"what comes after 30?" Ray opens his mouth but I only laugh"you're face is so funny!" Ray then grabs my hands"you better stop talking before I ditch your a**." He growls"then kiss me~!" I tease"I know you won't~!" I let out a yawn"I wouldn't kiss me."

"You need to sleep,you're very annoying." He tells me"nu-uh! You are the annoying one. All you do is boss me around all day." That's when Mister screams making us go quiet. "YOU WANT TO SAVE ME?! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE YOU LITTLE BRAT?! WHAT THE H*LL ARE YOU THINKING?! YOU SH*TTY LONG HAIRED B*TCH!" Ray then turns his head and wraps his arms around me in a protective manner. "I HATE ALL OF YOU! I'M NOT TELLING YOU GUYS SH*T! NOW BACK OFF!"

"NO!" Emma screams back making the man's eyes widen. "I DON'T CARE IF WE ARE HATED OR KILLED! I CAN'T IGNORE THIS! LET'S JUST STOP THIS! HIDING IT IS USELESS,AND NOTHING WILL BE SOLVED BY JUST HIDING!"

"What...?" The man asks,his voice soft. "It was painful,wasn't it? You had a 'good family' didn't you? You loved your comrades,didn't you Mister? But then you lost them,and became sad,frustrated and hateful. You suffered so much and all alone non the less...everyday you felt like you were being torn apart by those feelings,weren't you?" He grits his teeth at Emma"the h*ll do you know about me?" She shakes her head"all I can do is guess. You're an old man who lost his comrades. I can't just say 'I understand' your pain without really understanding...but in reality I do understand. We're alike aren't we? The current me,the old you,our family and your comrades. That's why you feel pain whenever you see us. It was so unbelievably painful you felt like you needed to pull a gun on us,right?" Emma went on for a while,she seemed to be right though.

"Change? Change what?" He growls"there's nothing you can do anyways. No matter how much you regret the past,my dead comrades ain't coming back. As long as ya'll disappear from my sight,I don't care if it's only a temporary distraction. Your faces disgust me. And sure you're right,you're exactly what old me was like." He then lowers his body to Emma's height.

"You're the same as me. You can't save them. You can't change this h*llish reality. Saving me? That's a good one. What do you think you can do?"He smirked.

"I can live on with you." Emma states making the man shocked. "I am going to return to Grace Field within two years. We're going to save the rest of our family that was left behind. We'll lead them and those who are just food to the human world. Come with us mister,to the human world. Let's see the world that our friends want to see!" Emma offers"we lost someone...an irreplaceable person. He was one of our best friends in the whole world,we were always together." Emma voice was soft as she spoke about Norman.

"I bet he wanted to be here more than anyone else combined...but now he can't,all because of me."

I felt tears coming to my eyes,I blinked and softly cried. Ray seemed to had noticed and brought me into a tight hug. "He entrusted everything to me saying 'I leave the rest to you'. That's why I keep going forward,for his sake. I'll go see the sights Norman wanted to see and I'll live in the world Norman wanted." Emma then lifts her head"so live on with us mister! The past can't be changed and the dead can't come back...but you can still live on for your comrades dreams! Even if you're alone,you can't stop! You're comrades don't wish for that,and neither do you!"

"Turn back." He suddenly says"don't go to Goldy Pond." His tone was different. I wiped my eyes and slivered out of Ray's grip,he hesitated to grab me again but shook his head. I stood up and and went over to Emma and him. "What do you mean?" I asked"that place is dangerous is..."he shook his head"just turn back now. By morning 'those guys' would've-"

"EMMA! Y/N! GET DOWN!" Ray screams,and that's when I felt my body being lifted up into the air. "RAY!" I screamed as I tried to reach out to grab hold of him,but it was to late.
