As I reentered the town I noticed people coming out of hiding and getting medical attention. "So then where's Jake,Monica and Theo?" I quickly rushed around to find any of them,but I only found Theo. His arms were wrapped around him as he sat on the ground.

"Theo?" He jumps and glances at me"Y-Y/N..."I approached him"where are the others?" I shouldn't had asked because that's when he broke down into tears. "Th-They're dead." My eyes widened as I quickly wrapped my arms around him,he wailed about Monica and Jake. Once he calmed down,I decided that I needed to be alone. I found a secluded alleyway and slid down the wall. My knees were brought to my chest,my arms wrapped nearly around them and my head rested on top of my knees.

Please let Ray,Emma and that guy be alright...

"You sad?" I hear a familiar voice ask me. "That's just how it is. Someone has to die each time." I wasn't crying nor upset like that,I just felt numb. "You couldn't have helped Jake or Monica. You managed to save one life,right?" I felt them slide down the wall next to me"sometimes,no matter what you do,things aren't always going to turn out how you want them to."

It fell silent between us. "Heyyy,come on." I glance to the girl"I want you to meet someone." She says but I wouldn't budge.

"If you continue to sit around here like this,you're going to get yourself killed." I sigh and lift my head"I know..."I turn to her"you actually r-remind me of someone." I tell her as I stand up and she does so as well. "I feel like your someone I can trust." I admit but she only crosses her arms"whatever. Follow me."

She brought me to a windmill. "Adam,it's me." She says knocking on the door. The door opened to reveal a large blonde haired boy"I brought her." He opens the door some more and gestures us inside. In the middle of the room was a group a people surrounding a table. "Let me introduce you to my comrades. From the right is Sandy and Zack. They do relief aid. Nigel is our mechanic. Sonia is second in command. Pepe,Gillian(I love her sm)and Paula are in charge of provisions. And then there's me Violet(love her to)and lastly Oliver,our leader."

Oliver had white hair with a singular red streak in his hair. "Nice to meet you." He says shaking my hand"there are nine of us in total. We all know the truth just like you,we are surviving in these human hunting grounds. We managed to stay alive for months,years even." Gillian then speaks up"who are you and where are you from?" She had a bubbly personality,reminds me of Emma a little. "Y/N,and I came from Grace Field. If you don't mind me asking,are you all escapees?"

"Nope." Violet hums.

"All of us were taken here as a live game." Oliver says showing off his branding that rested on his chest. The others had it as well. "We're all from Grand Valley plantation." Oliver says"the others supplied here are always almost from Grand Valley. We must be the only one where Bayon has influence. Besides you,there are three other kids not from Grand Valley."

"You're the first from Grace Field." Paula tells me"and you're an escapee!" Gillian chimes in"this place is just as you've seen. It's all a game for them. They have their jolly hunt,replenish the lost and it repeats." A large wooden crate filled with guns is set on the table in front of me. "These are the toys they give us to play with." Nigel says picking up a gun.

They look so real,maybe for false hope? "They seemed to be unkillable. So they gave us these." Sonia expressed"many of our comrades went to fight them with these and died. Then again,other children can't get their bearings in time...before they know what's happening or even holding a gun-they're dead. Even though so many die,we've found a reason to live. We are going to destroy this playground with our hands." Oliver growls through his teeth.
