Everyday, at 3:30 sharp, Gordon comes into Tidmouth with the express. Some people call it, "The Wild Nor' Wester," and has people from all over England, Wales, and Scotland. Sometimes, during the summer, there is also a special coach for people going to Thomas' Branch Line. When the other coaches are taken away empty, they have to remember to bring the special coach to the bay platform. Soon after, Thomas will come and pick it up. Thomas is very proud of his special coach. One afternoon, Duck was arranging a goods train for Donald when the express came in. Douglas offered to take the coaches away. He was enjoying himself when a horrid thought struck him
"I hope Sir Topham Hatt disna find out I shudna be here. I canne go back."
He was so worried, that he forgot about the Special Coach. He pushed it with the other coaches into the carriage siding, then went to join Donald at the water tower. As he did, Thomas scampered by and whistled cheerfully at Douglas. Soon Thomas came by fussing.
"Where is my coach!"
"Cooch?" Donald asked, "What cooch?"
"My special coach! That Gordon brings for me!" Thomas replied, "It's missing! I must find it."
As Thomas rushed away, Douglas remembered something.
"Lord sakes!" Douglas said, "I maun hae stowed it wit' the other cooches!"
"D'ye see that?" Donald's driver said, "The pass'ngers are complainin' tae Sir Topham Hatt! He'll come here next!"
"Noo listen," Douglas' driver said, "We'll chainge tenders. Then awa' wi ye, Donal, an' tak yon guds. Dinne fash aboot uz, Quick now!"
