The Only Exception

Jennie's pov 
We arrived at the venue where was the race held. I'm inside of Lisa's car while she was interacting in her co-racers. 

Racing is her hobby. Before, she always absent in the class and she only appears in the class when we have a special test or quiz. But she manage to answer despite of her absence. Even though we're classmates we didn't interact with each other. Surprisingly, we've been classmates for years. 

We were in sophomore year when she and I accidentally bumped to each other. I spilled my coffee to her and she just let it out. Typical love story isn't it? But that's the way we've met.  And since that day, I can't stop thinking about her face. Her doll-like face keeps evading my mind that time but I'm not the person that makes the first move so I really wait for her to approach me again and I thank God because she is a friend of Jisoo my cousin. 

After a week when we bumped into each other, she asked me if she could court me. So fast right? I said, we should be friends first but Lisa being Lisa, she said that we can be friends while she was courting me. So I let her. After a year she courted me, I finally said yes to her. She was sweet suitor and gentlewoman. She always take care of me but there's one problem from her. She was stubborn as hell. 

She is always in the detention room because she has a guts to mock all of the professors and she's always late. That's why Taehyung always bothering me to broke up with her, he was courting me when Lisa and I in a relationship just two months.  I keep scolding her to stop that attitude of hers but we only ended up in fighting or in her bed when I scolded her. 

I came back to reality with a knock on my side. I look up at saw Lisa signaling me to hop down, so I did. She pointed at my back. I turn around and saw Irene and Rosé together with Jisoo and Seulgi. 

"Here comes the lovers" Lisa said that made me chuckle. Oh how I wish that they were a couple. You see, Irene and Seulgi has a feelings for each other but they were just afraid to admit it to each other. When Rosé and Jisoo unnie is complicated. Rosé has a boyfriend named Park Chanyeol but Jisoo unnie loved Rosé since our freshman year. But sadly, Rosé still choose Chanyeol instead of Jisoo unnie and I'm telling you all, Chanyeol is an asshole. He's always in a club and always drunk. He's always involved in a fight. I don't know why Rosé didn't broke up with him until now. 

"Hey idiot" Jisoo unnie said to Lisa. Lisa just smiled at her and placed her arm around my shoulders. 

"You're early tonight" Seulgi simply said and raised her hand implying to have a high five to me. I smiled and reach it. 

"Well, Jennie here doesn't want to be late so I don't have a choice" Lisa joked. I glared at her and pinch her side.

"Aww. I'm just joking babe" She said while caressing her side. I rolled my eyes on her and look at Irene unnie. 

"Let's go now?" I asked. Irene unnie nod and grab Rosé's arm. They walked first while I place a goodluck kiss in Lisa's lips. 

When we parted, she placed her forehead in mine and smiled. "If I win, what would I get?" She asked. 

"You'll see later. So, do your best" I said. He shake her head and peck my lips again. 

"Jen! Come on! You can eat Lisa's face when the race is finish!" Irene unnie yelled. I laugh. 

"Goodluck" I once said and peck her lips again before I ran to the bleachers. 

I sat down beside Irene unnie while Rosé was on thr phone and base on her face, she was mad. I nudge Irene unnie and she just shrugged. 

I look to the racers and saw Taehyung? What is he doing here? I didn't know that he can race too? I look at Lisa and she's looking at Taehyung. She and Taehyung is not in the good terms and that's what I worried now. Irene unnie noticed my silence and she follow where I was looking. 

"I didn't know that he's a racer too" She said. 

"Neither do I" 

"Racers, it's time to get on the track!" The announcer said cheerfully. All the racers go to their respective cars and enter. All you can hear inside is the roaring sound of cars and scream of all people inside. 

"Let the race begin!!!" the announcer once excitedly yelled. A girl walked infront of the cars and race a black and white flag. 

The race started and Lisa was in lead. As expected of my baby. But, I felt uncomfortable when Taehyung's car is behind Lisa. Let's just say, Taehyung has an anger issues and Lisa is short tempered. 

Lisa finished her first lap and she's still in lead. This is just a three lap race. Well, this is not a competition that we used to watch in the tv but this race is legal. I didn't approve of Lisa doing an illegal race when I become her girlfriend. Thankfully, she listened to me and she drag Jisoo unnie and Seulgi to let go of illegal racing and join in here. 

Lisa's car was close to finish her second lap when Taehyung's car bumped it's back. I can tell that Lisa is pissed right now because she speed up her pace. I shake my head feeling disappointed at the both of them. 

Another minutes pass, the race is finish and Lisa won. I quickly run to her because I know that she's pissed. There's a possibility that she will come to Taehyung and confront him about earlier. 

Lisa  hop down on her car and she looks... calm? She saw me and ran to me. 

"Hey" She said. She placed a kiss on my cheek and forehead. 

"I won" She added. I smiled at her and was about to speak when, 

"Well, well, The great Lalisa Manoban won again" Taehyung said at our back. So Lisa turn around and I place my hand to her right arm to calm her. 

She just look at me assuringly and faced Taehyung again. "because I don't play dirty" Lisa stated. 

Taehyung smirked, "What about we make a bet?" I raised my eyebrow. 

"And what is that?" Lisa countered. 

"In next week, there would be another race. And if I win that, you will give Jennie to me" Taehyung said while smirking. 

"You're so full of yourself Mr. Kim. You won't get that" Lisa calmly said and faced me. 

"Because no matter what happens, I will never let go of Jennie. Even if it takes my life" She seriously said and grab my hand and intertwined our fingers before walking where the others are. 

"Yo what happened there?" Jisoo unnie immediately asked when we reached where they are. 

"Nothing. Some jackass just want to get Jennie away from me" Lisa calmly said

"I saw Taehyung here" Seulgi said that earned a smack from Irene unnie. 

"You slow minded bear. Lisa was pertaining to Taehyung duh." Irene unnie mocked. I shake my head at those two and look at Lisa.  

"Let's head home" I mumbled to her. Lisa only eyed me and soon nod. 

"We get going guys. Jennie's tired" Lisa said while holding my hand and started to walk back to her car. 

The ride to home was quiet. I can tell that Lisa is still pissed at what Taehyung said by the way she's holding the steering wheel. 

Fivr minutes has passed and we've arrived at her house. Lisa hop down first before she goes around and open the door for me. I hop down and place my arms around her neck. 

"Cool down please" I said and placed my forehead against her. She sighed and look at my eyes. 

"You won't go with him right?" Lisa whispered. She's afraid. 

"Everyone left me. I just wish that you won't leave me too" I saw a tear fall down on her cheeks. 

Lisa is a badass to others and only to her close friends, she will let her feelings shown. That's why I fall for her. She's totally a softie. 

"I won't. I promise" I said and kiss her. Our kiss deepend. She only broke our kiss to enter her house and she lifted me up and brought me to her room. 

We made love all night. One thing I don't know about Lisa, I didn't see her parents with her and I don't know where did she able to afford all the expensive cars she have.
