The Only Exception

Jisoo's POV

After I drop Rosé to her apartment I go home. We've been dating for a year now and it's been 4 years when Lisa stopped talking to me. I missed my bestfriend. She also stop racing. 

I open my front door and the lights when I jumped because on shock. There was a lady sitting on my chair, back facing me and looking outside the window. 

Her figure was familiar. I slowly walked towards her. I was about to touch her when she speak, "Good thing you're home now.." She speak and turned around. "Unnie." 

I can't believe what am I seeing now. After 5 years of no contact and she never response of my messages, she will just appear like nothing happened? 

"What are you doing here Jennie?" I coldly asked. She stand up and was about to approach me when I raised my hand to her. 

"Answer me Jennie." I said, I seeht flickered at her eyes and look down. 

"I came back to fix what I broke unnie." She said while fidgeting her fingers. 

"Fix what you've broke?! What do you think of Lisa, Jen?! Just a thing that once you broke you leave it and then can came back anytime you want to fix it?! Jen! Lisa's life is a wreck!" I can't stop myself but to let out my frustration to her. 

"It's not like that unnie.. " She muttered. I hold my hair and run my fingers on it. 

"Then what Jen? do you know how miserable Lisa's life now?!" 

"Yes! I know! I've watch her everyday! I know it sound like a creep but I'm too scared to face her after what I have done! Do you think she would forgive me when I just approach her? No! So I wait..." She burst, I just look at her. 

"I've been watching her move since I flew to New Zealand. It just 3 months when Taehyung lived with me. He confiscated my phone for those months and  He started to hurt me physically unnie so I made a choice to ran away and come back to Lisa but when Aunt Chitthip died I saw how Lisa mourn. I saw everything unnie. I saw how Lisa's life became miserable because of me. I want to go to Lisa that time but Taehyung found me. He forced me to go back into New Zealand and hide me there for a year unnie. " She said while crying now. 

"Taehyung force himself to me, she abused me Unnie and I can't even tell you that time because I know that you're mad at me." She added. I walk forward and engulfs her in a hug. 

"Why you didn't tell me Jen? I would forgive you if you tell me that. And why aren't you with aunt dara?" I said. She sobs louder and starting to wet my shirt. 

"Aunt Dara left New Zealand after a week I came. And that's when Taehyung started to abused me. I want to tell it to you and Lisa but I was scared. I was scared that you wouldn't believe me" she explained. I feel sorry for my cousin. She doesn't deserve what happened to her neither Lisa. 

I just rub her back to calm her down and whispered things to help her. 

"I regret everything unnie. I regretted it" She said but now with a calmer voice. 

"I've been wanting to ask this Jen" I carefully said and push her away a little bit. 

"Did Taehyung push you to have sex with him?" She stiffened at my question. I knew it. I balled my fist and grab my car keys again. 

"Unnie where are you going?" Jennie stopped me. 

"I will find that asshole and treat him a lesson. Nobody can touch my cousin forcefully." I said with gritted teeth. 

"No unnie please no" Jennie begged me. 

I cupped her face I can't believe after what happened to her she still stopping me to kill that man. 

"He threaten me unnie. If I said it to anyone he will kill Lisa. So please unnie, don't" She cried again. 

"You know Lisa can kill him without a doubt right? If Lisa know this, that guy will die. I say to you." She shake her head and cried harder.  

"Jen—" 

"Mom? Why are you crying?" I was stopped by a kid who was like a 3 years old and just just woken up. She step out of my room with a bear with her hugging it. 

Jennie pulled herself from me and wiped her tears and smiled. "I just miss your Aunt baby. Did we wake you up?" The kid noddes slowly with a pout and look at me. 

I stare intently at the kid and notice the similarities between them. I sigh. 

"Is she Aunt Jisoo, Mom?" The kid asked while pointing at me. Jennie looked at me and nodded. 

"Hi aunt Jisoo! I'm Ella! Mom was talking about how amazing you are!" The kid said while she opened her arms saying that she like me to carry her. 

I take a glance at Jennie first. Jennie nodded so I bend down and grab the kid. I poke her nose and she giggled. 

"Well, I hope mommy Jennie doesn't say bad things about me" I joked at the kid. She just smiled and shake her head. She placed her head in the crook of my neck indicating that she's still sleepy. So I swayed a little until I felt that her breath relaxed. I glanced at Jennie but she just avoid my eyes and take a deep breathe. I walk back  in my room and placed her in the bed. 

I stare at Ella. She got Jennie's feline eyes and shape of her face. But what bothers me is the color of her eyes. 

I felt a presence beside me, I didn't bother to face her and just asked what I've been wanting to ask. 

"Is Ella is..." I started, I heard her sighed again with a low toned answer, "Yes." 

"I will kill that man." I fumed. How dare he lay a finger in my cousin? 

"It won't meant anything now unnie." Jennie whispered. 

"What?! After all he done to you, you still on his side?!" I said. Good thing Ella didn't woke up at my outburst. 

"It won't meant a thing because he killed himself unnie." She said. 

"He killed himself infront of her daughter." She look at me with a sad eyes. "Taehyung used drugs and his family business is drugs. When I learn about it, I said to him that I will tell all of their lies to the police but that time he was on high. And that time he pushed himself at me, and Ella was made. He stopped abusing me when I was 7 months pregnant. But when Ella born, he started to abused me again and the worse.. He abuses Ella too." 

"I'm so sorry. I'm not there to protect you" I whispered to her. She shake her head and hug me tighter. 

"He was on his high when Ella cried because of pain he was doing on her.  I was there but I can't even move my fingers because he hurted me like hell. And then he just stopped hurting Ella and minutes he laugh like crazy and shot his head. Ella was terrified. When my strength was back I grab Taehyung's phone and dialed 911. That's when we escaped hell unnie. Ella doesn't want to talk to anyone." She tell more. 

"I'm sorry Jen, I'm sorry" I continue to whisper but she just shake her head. 

"No need to be sorry unnie, it's my fault anyway" She cried. 

Jennie cried until she passed out. I stare at her with her daughter beside her. I can't believe that they experienced such things like that. Jennie doesn't deserve that. Neither Ella. 

I didn't realize that I was crying when I felt my right hand was soaked in tears. I'm sorry Jen. I'm sorry. 

I'm sorry that I didn't bother to follow you in there. I'm sorry because I told uncle to leave you alone. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
