"...she never came back," Rantaro finished his story as he doodled on his desk with a pen. Shuichi had full interest into his story and at the end almost cried. "W-why didn't you tell me before? You know I'm always here for you, right?" Shuichi told him as he nodded sadly.

"Yeah, I know, Shuichi," He sighed. "and thank you."

Shuichi gave him a smile and suddenly, Rantaro sat up, looking as though energy shot right through him.

"I-I have an idea!" He exclaimed. "What is it?" Shuichi asked, hoping it would be a good one and not like the time he tried to steal potato wedges from a restaurant because he was tired an hungry.

"Well, you're the ultimate detective and you can look for missing people, right?" Rantaro asked eagerly. Oh...so that's what he wants.

"Yes..."

"You can help me, once we graduate from college, look for my sister!" She smiled. Shuichi found it hard to turn down that smile; Rantaro's real one. "We can travel around the world together and look for her! Yes, it would be so fun! What'dya say?" Rantaro asked as Shuichi pulled his hat down over his face to hide the blush.

"I-I...uh...don't you think you could asked Kyoko?" He asked quickly. "I'm not the person to do this...I'm not trust worthy." Shuichi explained sadly. Rantaro raised an eyebrow. "Are you kidding? Shuichi, you're the best detective I know, no offence, Kyoko, and you're super trustworthy, what do you mean? You're amazing, alright? I trust you fully and I know you'll do a great job!" Rantaro explained. Shuichi's hat was almost covering his entire face to stop the blush from showing.

"Sh-shouldn't we ask Kyoko just in ca-" "I want you with me on this, Shuichi." Rantaro said strictly. Shuichi pulled his hat up so he could look Rantaro in the eyes to see if he was joking, but he was dead serious.

Shuichi trembled, hoping that if he said yes, he wouldn't regret it. But there was a look in Rantaro's eyes that made him cave in.

"Yes, I'll do it." He said triumphantly. Rantaro smile and hugged him. "Thank you, Shuichi."

Shuichi awkwardly pushed him off and placed his hands on his shoulders. "I will do whatever I can to get you two back together," He said.

"Two?" Rantaro tilted his head. "No...uhm...I think you misunderstood. I have 11 other sisters. I lost all of them while travelling," He explained as Shuichi's eyes widened. "A-are we looking for all of them?" Shuichi asked in shock. Rantaro nodded. "If we can. It might take a lifetime, but I'd rather spend it with someone then by myself, to be honest." Rantaro said, nudging the detective a bit.

Shuichi sighed and nodded. "Okay. We'll look for them all."

But that would change. The day Rantaro and Shuichi were in the biggest mood, talking about where they would go first. Shuichi might not look like it, but he's quite the adventurer. And Rantaro could confirm it.

They planned their entire trip, even the cost of things.

"Awhhh looks like the boyfriends are planning their honeymoon!" Kokichi teased as they walked through the hall, clinging to his boyfriend's arm. Shuichi's face burst into a red and Rantaro glared at Kokichi as he giggled.

"Kiibo, get your boyfriend on a leash." He crossed his arms and the robot lifted his arm. Kokichi hung on like a monkey and laughed.

"You're fun, Kiiboy!" He giggled. The robot sighed and shook his arm so Kokichi would lose his grip. Kokichi let go and placed his feet on the ground, pouting at his boyfriend. "Why do you always have to ruin everything?! I hate you, Kiiboy!" He screamed. "Not everything." The robot said. "I actually had the courage to go buy you Panta for afterschool. Man, am I gonna regret that." The white haired boy muttered. "Panta?!" Kokichi exclaimed and ran to hug the robot. "Yaaaaaaaaaay! I love you, Kiiboy!"

Rantaro laughed and kept walking with Shuichi. The rest of the day was one of the best days the boys had had.

The day ended, they said their goodbyes and parted ways. Shuichi made it to his dorm and flopped down on the bed. He would be travelling the world with his crush. A dream come true?Maybe...

But the next day, Rantaro wasn't at school. Shuichi figured he was sick and would get better the next day. He's a fast healer, especially when he's sick.

But he didn't come the next day. And the next.

Finally, Shuichi decided to check on him at the end of the day. He walked to Rantaro's dorm instead of his own. He got up to the one that said "Amami" and knocked on the door. There was a few seconds of silence before the door cracked open, revealing Rantaro, but not the one that Shuichi knew.

His hair was messy, there were circles under his eyes and he was in a hoodie and sweatpants; all things he would never do or have. "R-rantaro! Are you okay?" Shuichi asked, but the answer was obvious.

Rantaro almost closed the door on him, but Shuichi stopped it and forced it open. "Rantaro, what happened?" He asked as the green haired boy walked to his room. Shuichi followed him and his room--

It was full of picture tapped to the wall of a girl that looked somewhat like Rantaro. She had long green hair and green eyes and reminded Shuichi of a meadow. Her hair had a hint of yellow in her green hair and in all the pictures she was smiling and laughing. In one of them, he saw her and who he believed was Rantaro when he was younger and had no piercings. He looked a bit cute in Shuichi's opinion. She had ear piercings in each of her ears like Rantaro, but only one in each ear. His thoughts were interrupted by Rantaro flopping on his bed.

"I...uh...take it your sister?" He asked. Rantaro nodded slowly. Shuichi sat down beside him on the bed.

"You can tell me, Rantaro, it's okay," Shuichi smiled, placing his hand on Rantaro's soft green hair and brushed though it. It relaxed them both. Rantaro sat up and covered his eyes with his sleeve to stop him from crying, but it was no use.

"Rantaro! Don't cry!" Shuichi awkwardly hugged him and Rantaro cried onto his shoulder. "Th-they're g-gone, Shuichi. A-all eleven o-of th-them...d-dead..." The green haired boy cried. "y-your sisters?" Shuichi asked, starting to get teary just by hearing Rantaro's sobs.

Rantaro nodded silently and Shuichi looked up at the pictures taped to the walls, then back to the crying Rantaro. He was motivated before to find Rantaro's sister, but now he was more then ever.

"We're gonna find your sister." He said to Rantaro. The crying boy took his head off Shuichi's shoulder and wiped his eyes. "You th-think so?"

"I know for sure." Shuichi smiled. Rantaro smiled back and turned to one of the pictures of his sister. "We're coming, Ohara," He whispered. "Stay where you are."
