"Shuiiiichi..." Rantaro shook the blue headed boy up once more, but patiently waiting for the boy to wake up. Shuichi finally opened his eyes and Rantaro smiled, getting up from sitting at the edge of the bed. "Come on, today's the day! We go on our first adventure. Anywhere we want!" Rantaro exclaimed. Shuichi sat up and propped himself up with his hands and yawned.
"I-I need to shower first..." He said, mostly just a way of starting their adventure later. "Oh, hah, so do I. I just woke up." Rantaro laughed. Shuichi raised an eyebrow. How his he this energetic and he just woke up?
After each of them showered and got dressed, Rantaro rummaged through his bag before they left.
"What are you doing?" Shuichi asked, putting his jacket on. "Looking for something...it's something I've treasured and I think I can share it with you. Ohara made it." Rantaro explained, digging deeper through the bag. "I-I don't think I should handle something that you treasured..." Shuichi said with guilt.
"Aha!" Rantaro cheered. He grabbed out a package and pointed it at Shuichi. "I don't care if you shouldn't, you will." He said and Shuichi sighed. "Fine..."
Rantaro opened it and brought out...
"...Headphones?" Shuichi asked, tilting his head. "Not just headphones, Ohara glued little flowers to the wires when she was bored and then gave it to me. I never used them since it was like treasure to me. But I'll share the first time I use it with you!" Rantaro smiled, handing the right earbud to him. He plugged it into his phone and took the left earbud.
"So...what are we gonna listen to?" Shuichi asked patiently as they walked out the door. "Any suggestions?" Rantaro asked. "Ohara's favourite song!" Shuichi said excitedly. "Ooh, interesting," Rantaro smirked and played her favourite song.
"...I've never heard this before..." Shuichi said, listening to the music quietly. "Yeah, it isn't that big anymore. But it's called Ahead By A Century ." The green haired boy explained.
"She had good taste in music," Shuichi said, getting calmer and calmer as the song went on. "So where to first?"
Rantaro thought for a minute. He wanted to find his sister, but here he wouldn't have that much luck; not in the city. Plus...he wanted to spend time with Shuichi. February cold isn't that cold, but it still was enough to make Rantaro shiver. For one of the first times in his life; he was debating with himself. Debating on weather to spend time with his crush or go find his lost sister. Why was his heart leaning towards the first one? His main goal was to find his sister! But why did he bring Shuichi? Rantaro hated this.
"Rantaro?"
That made his choice definite. Just the way Shuichi said his name. The way this took over Rantaro's heart scared him. He wanted to find his sister, not get with his crush. But it's the only reason he brought his crush here. The green haired boy didn't know this would be such a big impact on him; he wanted to run away and hide. He was scared of his own choices now. But it was too embarrassing to admit that he was scared of himself.
"I...uh...maybe we should just...not go out today.." He said it as if he was holding in a breath. Shuichi made a confused face. "You're the one who was so pumped to come out here and now you're saying we should go back?"
Rantaro's stomach sank. "I-I just feel lightheaded...for some reason..." He said tiredly. And he wasn't lying. Shuichi's face went from angry to worried very quickly.
"Oh, s-sorry...we can go home." He said, turning around and walking slowly so the other boy wouldn't get so tired. When they got home, Rantaro wanted to fall asleep and never wake up again. Why was he debating over something he knew the answer to already, yet he was still questioning himself? He fell onto the bed and Shuichi closed the door so he could sleep and left the room, going to text Tsumugi and Kirumi to tell them about everything that's been going on.
