mind go boom. grades go down, motivation go bye bye.

And thus began the journey of trying to find the commander's office. But there was one thing Iwaizumi didn't tell Hinata and Daichi.

He already knew where the commander's office was. He'd been there just this morning. Of course, he wasn't going to tell them because he was going to use the time they took to 'find' the commander's office to observe them.

In his opinion, anyone could act innocent and have malicious intentions. Just like the little orange head here. Oikawa seemed more attached to him than any other affair in the past.

Iwaizumi was not going to let this small seemingly harmless tangerine close to Oikawa unless he deemed him innocent. And-

"Wow, Daichi! What's that?!"

"That, Hinata, is a wall."

"Then what about this?"

"That is a painting".

Iwaizumi sighed. Maybe he was a bit too paranoid. This little innocent orange head followed everyone like a lost puppy. There was no way he could ever try to harm anybody (purposely), more less, kill.

He'd just keep an eye on him for now. There was no need to act impulsively.

. . .

"Sir Kageyama, please calm down!" The attendant Yamaguchi said, trying the best to calm the angry king.

"Fuck off! Can't you see I'm trying to plan something?!" Kageyama lashed out. Yamaguchi cowered down.

"Calm down. Some King you are, huh? Not being able to save your king and now lashing out on your subjects? No wonder Oikawa has more influence than you," Tsukishima, the butler said (I'm sorry, I just think Tsukishima as a butler would be hilarious), leaning on the door.

"Tsukki..." Yamaguchi started softly. "You can't really say that to... you know... the king of this nation.".

Kageyama rubbed his head. "No, no, he's right. I need to calm down. How else can I save Hinata?" he muttered.

"I mean, you can always just try and hire an assassin to kill Oikawa, you know?" Tsukishima suggested.

"But his office -"

"He's never in his office anyways. He's always around, playing and flirting at brothels," Tsukishima pointed out.

"You're right. I wonder what they would think if they knew they were sleeping with the king of their nation, how they would react? But this is not the time for idle chit-chat. Besides, the associations won't work. Believe me, I've tried. I think I've started losing hope after the 233rd failed attempt," Kageyama said.

"Wait, that was you?!" Yamaguchi exclaimed, mouth open in shock.

"Yeah. It has been for the last 5 or 6 years," Kageyama replied nonchalantly.

"I mean, I had a sneaking suspicion but I never thought..." Tsukishima said.

"That's beside the point. The point is, the assassinations won't work because of that loyal subject of his, Iwaizumi," Kageyama said.

"Couldn't we just bribe him or something?" Tsukishima asked.

"No, as far as we know, they've been childhood friends since the beginning. He wouldn't betray Oikawa even if his life was on the line." Kageyama said.

"Kind of like me and Tsukki!" Yamaguchi exclaimed.

"Except if someone offered me enough money, I'd gladly hand you over to them," Tsukishima muttered.

"Tsukki!" Yamaguchi whined.

"Ahem. Quiet down. We're off-topic. The point is, hiring an assassin won't work." Kageyama said.

"Then why don't you just do it yourself?" Tsukishima asked.

"Pardon?"

"I mean, just try and assassinate him yourself. Your father was always going on and on about how skilled you were and all up on his high horse," Tsukishima said.

"That damned old man." Kageyama seethed.

"You are good, right? If you aren't, I'm sending that old man straight to hell for all the hours he put me through, bragging Kageyama this and Kageyama that," Tsukishima muttered.

"Yeah, I am good, but not at fucking assassinating people! You think the Kingdom will approve of a murderer as a king?!" Kageyama exclaimed.

"I mean, you already murdered a lot of people in war. I honestly don't see the difference," Tsukishima said.

"The difference is that it's for my own selfish reasons, not for the kingdom. If I were fighting people in a war, then it would be fine, but doing it for myself will make people think I'm a murderer or something," Kageyama said.

"But technically it isn't for your own selfish reasons, is it? It's for the future of this nation. Hinata's the future queen right?" Yamaguchi pointed out. "And besides, it's okay to be selfish every once in a while".

"I guess..." Kageyama said hesitantly.

Tsukishima scoffed. "Where'd your backbone go, prick?"

"It's not like that! It's just that our country can't afford to go into another war!" Kageyama exclaimed.

"Well, if their King was murdered, then you'd gain the upper hand, no?" Tsukishima said.

"Yeah, I guess. Whatever, I'll deal with the consequences later," Kageyama said.

"That's what I fucking thought," Tsukishima said as he and Yamaguchi walked out the door.

. . .

Iwaizumi's POV

After showing Daichi the headquarters, I and Hinata walked back to Oikawa's room. "I'll show you where Oikawa's room is. Your room will be right next to his".

"Uhh M-Mr. Iwaizumi?" Hinata stuttered.

"Just call me Iwaizumi," I said.

"Uhh, do you know why Oikawa would want to kidnap me? I mean, Oikawa already said that Kageyama didn't want to make the deal with him. Doesn't that mean I'm useless now?" Hinata asked.

I sighed. "Although you think you're useless, Oikawa thinks your interesting. That's why he hasn't executed or murdered you or your servants yet."

"O-oh! Okay," Hinata said.

We kept on walking until we reached the entrance to Oikawa's room. Right next to it was a small room, as if it was built for this moment. (Look, it's called plot armor. I don't want to make up a grand backstory for a fucking room).

"This is your room now. I'll show you how to deal with Oikawa tomorrow. I still have a meeting with Shiratorizawa to discuss alliances." I said.

Hinata nodded. "Sorry for wasting your time," he murmured. I sighed.

"It's fine. Just be at ready 5:00 AM sharp. We have a lot of work to do," I said.

Hinata nodded and walked into the room, closing the door behind him.

Tomorrow was going to be a long day. Just great.
