Vincent was there. He was in the lobby of the P.P.R.C. He was there. Right next to President Evelina. Her blonde hair was in a tight knot on the top of her head, and she had an expensive looking red dress on. Vincent looked like a vampire. He was hovering over what looked like about 100 people. Innocent people. Powerful, innocent people.

"Good job." She crooned.

"You're welcome." Vincent grinned wickedly. Then, Mary came barging into the lobby. Many other people that I found familiar from the tournament were with her. "Run! Run!" Vincent yelled. Evelina went running for the exit where there were a bunch of people. Dog people. Harry and Spots were there also. They were the ones that killed everyone. They all started running. Harry and Spots remained Evelina's guard dogs, but Vincent didn't have any.

Mary shot the gun in her hand straight at Vincent's head and he dropped to the ground, dead. Evelina made it out alive. Then I appeared out of nowhere with a bed head. Had I slept through that?

Big booms woke me up. Scared from my dream, I looked around the room. Mary's bed was empty. Oh no. I leaped out of bed. Being as self-conscious as I was, I dressed quickly before leaving my room. I know it sounded stupid, why would I leave my room when there was a big chance of danger? I strained to grasp who I saw dead. I didn't know who. And as my vision predicted, I slept through the whole thing.

I couldn't completely navigate myself through the camp, but I knew enough. I stayed away from the main lobby. That was where the big booms were coming from. The hallway was abandoned. I could tell that everyone was probably hiding.

I headed to the cafeteria, to find everyone huddled in a corner. I ran to join them. I didn't hide my wave of relief when I saw Matthew with everyone else. When I entered, a lunch lady person ran over to me.

"Did you see this?" She asked in terror.

"I just did. I'm sorry I didn't have time to warn anyone."

"It's ok. Mary woke up to see you tossing and turning and screaming. She knew something bad was coming. She warned us." She said.

"Oh." I blushed.

"Go sit with everyone. I'm gonna lock those doors." She said. "Can't believe I forgot to lock them." She muttered to herself.

I turned to everyone. Don't look at my hair. I pleaded silently. Then I saw Matthew. He was grinning. Stay out my head.

I looked for someone, anyone, that I knew enough to plop down next to. But there was no one. Sighing, I tentatively sat down next to Matthew. I kept my distance, obviously.

"Your hair doesn't actually look bad." Matthew said.

Now he's talking to me? All of the shock, fear, and the stupid pleasure was boiling inside of me. I thought about saying, 'er, thanks I guess. Your hair doesn't look bad either.' But crap. I guess I have to respond. He obviously just heard what you just thought. I scolded myself.

He laughed. I knew that I would end up reflecting deeply about it. But it took all of my willpower not to think about it then, not when he was there. Not when he could hear every single thought that ran through my head. I sighed. I wish he would stay out of my head.

"If it really seems to bother you, I could always just focus on someone else's head. I could let you have your thoughts privately." He offered.

My thoughts answered before my mouth could. How would I know that you're actually just listening to me but pretending not to?

"You can trust me. You've done it before, and it didn't turn out that bad." I remembered. The memory sliced deep into my chest and I knew I was about to spin into my spiral of thoughts again.
