Under the cover of the bright green leaves, and the tall trees, there were voices. Two security guards were racing through the trees looking for us. President Evelina was behind them.

"Guys! What did I tell you about strong decisions! She'll see you!" President Evelina hollered.

"We're trying!" Shouted the tan guard with crazy brown hair in an Afro.

"I can smell them." The pale light blue eyed guard whispered. He sniffed the air like a dog. He wrinkled his nose. "They really got to shower." He stated sourly. She had a security guard that had the senses of a dog?

"Don't make your thoughts too loud either! He'll hear you!" President Evelina shouted.

"President, we should get to them in about half and hour." The crazy Afro guard said respectfully.

"Ok. That's sounds reasonable." She muttered.

"I call dibs on the boy!" The pale guard said ravenously.

"No! I want the boy!" The Afro guard responded angrily. The 2 guards broke in a fit of wrestling and snarling.

"Harry! Spots! Stop fighting!" President Evelina yelled hastily. It was depressing how the guards had powers of dogs, acted like dogs, and had names like dogs. She was one cruel president.

"Sorry." The Afro guard went into a pout and stood up. He was covered in dirt. "But can I have the boy?"

President Evelina sighed heavily. "Harry, first, you and Spots will take turns slowly, and I say slowly, with the boy."

Spots and Harry nodded eagerly. "Slowly," she pressed. "It will hurt the girl. Then, when the boys finished, you can do what you want with the girl." She pointed ahead in the direction they were headed. "Now let's go!"

My sudden flinch in terror woke me up. The trees were the same color as my dream. Oh no. They're coming. My eyes scanned my surroundings for Matthew. I found him a few feet away, snuggling near a tree in a peaceful slumber. He looked so beautiful sleeping there, I had a sudden desire to just let him sleep. But that was a stupid move.

I moved closer to him. "Matthew," I whispered intensely. "Matthew, wake up." He didn't budge. I didn't want to touch him. Please don't make me have to touch you. I'm already close enough, and I don't want to touch you. I thought stubbornly.

In an instant, Matthew's eyes blinked. His eyes popped open and he sat up. Although he didn't look as attractive as he usually looked because of the dehydration, his eyes remained untouched from it, and they stayed their perfect green.

"You're voice may be quiet, but you're thoughts are as loud as a speaker on full volume." He commented. I blushed. "So what is so urgent?"

"I, I had a dream." I stuttered.

Matthew sighed. "Oh no. Think about it." He stared me right in the eye, like he was concentrating on me. As uncomfortable as I was, I let myself think about my dream. As he was experiencing it, I noticed how every second his face grew paler and paler.

"I can read their minds right now." He said in terror. "They're close. Really close."

"We should get moving." I suggested shyly.

"Yes. But where?" He wondered. I hesitated. "Oh! This way!" He pointed north, in the direction of more nature.

"Ok?" I thought aloud and we were off. I didn't know why this way, but I figured that he could hear their thoughts from the opposite direction, the south.
