First of all, yes. My Grandpa has said the quote multiple times. Been hearing it since I was 7 (._.)

edit: Future Author here. Omg, rereading this chapter, it's so baaaad. Bare with me, little bit of writers block-

Gon's POV

Well, Gon's been in worse situations. I mean, it's only a wall of cement that's crashing down on them.

Killua took charge, "Gon! Over here! I have an idea!". Gon followed instructions, he didn't have any ideas any ways other than get kicking his way out.

"Ok, so, here's the plan" Killua whispered, then said the plan. Since this is like any other show, you won't know the plan until it's in action. Classic, am I right?

Killua grabbed Gon's wrist and started forward with Godspeed (as Killua decided to call his new move via the help of Bisky). Once they were close enough, Gon kicked the cement, charged up with ko and punched his way through the wall.

"Well, we're out. What now?" Gon asked Killua.

"Let's get to exit, didn't you say you spotted it?"

"Yeah--" Gon pointed southwest --"over there"

"Then let's go"

********

Gon jumped for joy (while still running), "There's the exit!"

"My only concern is: why hasn't Cementos come back around? I think this place is trapped..." Killua noted, also running.

"I'm sure it's fi-" Gon was cut off with the ground shaking.

Killua looked at his friend with an unimpressed expression, "You were saying?"

Cementos showed himself again, "I figured you guys would get out of there, you two won't be getting through this exit"

Gon doesn't know what it was, but the pocket which held the handcuffs felt like it was getting heavier. Without realizing it, he reached for the handcuffs.

"Gon!" Killua whisper-yelled, snapping Gon out of it.

With Cementos blocking the exit, there wasn't any hope of getting past him. They'd  have to get creative with this.

Gon dashed left while Killua dashed right, seeing which one Cementos would go after. He would have to pick a kid to go after.

Gon couldn't see Killua from where he was, but he figured that his friend would be in building. Their plan failed when Cementos was able to send blocks of cement in both directions.

Killua came out of the shadows first, electricity blazing.

Cementos was busy with Killua, 'maybe I can sneak out of here?' Gon thought to himself.

Gon went into zetsu, careful to not be seen and to not go on  floor cement. Gon didn't know if Cementos could sense if people were on cement, and he didn't want to find out the hard way.

'One last jump, and I'm out'

Gon looked at Killua, who was successfully taking up Cementos' time and took the leap of faith. Which was cut short by a wall of cement.

Gon had nothing to stop himself with, and slammed right into it...

Killua's POV

A single line haunted Killua in this moment: a leap of faith and your ignorance will lead to the downfall of a close friend.

Killua ran as fast as he could to get Gon (who appeared to have been knocked unconscious), but wasn't fast enough.

Gon slammed into the cement, and Killua heard several cracks of bones breaking. Killua ran to Gon's side, but there wasn't anything he could do. He didn't see Recovery Lady coming, so he ran to the exit using Godspeed and ran back to Gon.

Recovery Lady came into view, and took Gon away.

It feels like Gon just got out of the hospital, and now he's going back into a hospital. Or, most likely. They passed the practical portion (technically), but they certainly lost the battle.

****sad. Apparently Author hates Rin and Gon...****
