I'm going to try a new style of writing. Tell me if you prefer this style!

Gon's POV (3rd person)

Saying that Gon was happy, would be the understatement of the century.

Killua and he had won. Won! They did it!

In that moment, Gon hugged Killua and forgot about the festival. Forgot about the 'new world'. For a split second, Gon was at peace for the first time in 10 months.

Gon had zoned out for a second, but as soon as the word 'lunch' was said somewhere (Pres. Mic?), Killua had basically dragged Gon out of the arena.

----Am I..... actually getting love now? T~T My heart can't take it----

"Gon" Killua said. The both of them were eating their lunch outside, away from everyone else.

"Hm?" Gon hummed back.

Killua, now facing Gon, continued, "Why have you lost your self assurance?"

"Wh- what?" Gon stuttered.

"It obvious. Well, to me. Even after that complete victory, you still don't carry yourself the way you used to"

"I guess... can we talk about it later?" Gon asked, sighing.

Killua had a slight frown, but nodded anyway.

Gon didn't want to talk about. Not now, at least. Right now he wanted to focus on the competition and what's to come. He knows that the both of them won't be in true danger. But he still was nervous.

----I... don't have anything funny to say----

Walking out, Gon could barely hear anything above the throbbing in his head. His pulse increased 10 fold since the lunch break was over.

He rarely felt this nervous. He didn't feel nervous for the hunter exam, finding Killua (only worry and determination was taking over there), or even facing Hisoka in the Heavens arena (more of pride was there).

Gon slightly heard something about events for the people who had failed. So they can still show off.

Killua nodged Gon and pointed over where the girls are, who were now in cheerleader outfits'.

"They must've gotten tricked" Killua noted.

"Mhm"

Gon barely noticed the concerned look Killua gave.

Why did Gon feel so dam nervous!

I looked up and realized that there was going to a battle. 1v1, until only the winner remained.

"Come up and draw lots to see who you will be up against. Then enjoy the recreational games before we start" Midnight said.

Gon was able to snap himself back to reality long enough to hear that. Why did he feel that something was going to go down? What was-

"Um, excuse me" a new voice interrupted Gon's thoughts.

"Sorry, but I'm withdrawing" the voice continued, when Gon looked, it was (to his surprise) Oijiro.

Oijiro must've fought for withdrawing, but Gon couldn't hear. He was out of ear shot when Ojiro was just talking.

Another person from class 1B also withdrew.

Apparently it was allowed, because the next thing Gon heard was, "Don't worry, I'll win it for you" from Aoyama.

I doubt Aoyama has any chance of winning though...

I... I hadn't looked at who I would be facing...

Was that why Killua went silent?

I looked over to him, I know now why my gut was telling me something was going to happen. Because....

I'll be facing Killua first.

A few moments later, the recreational events were starting.

Gon and Killua were away from the crowd and everyone.

"I'm not going to throw the battle, but I will make sure you win" Killua with a deathly monotone said.

"But-"

"No buts. You have to be the one to win, you know this. If you win the whole festival, that gives you the greatest chance to be in class 1A with me"

Gon didn't like it, but knew Killua was right. Even Gon knew that this was a time to listen.

"Let's not give it our all, though. We can't let them know all of our cards" Killua said playfully.

"Definitely!"

A/N

Sorry for the shorter chapter, I've been really busy this week (multiple tests, dance, just the works).

I know that this is a cliffhanger, but I can do the 'not cliffhanger' next chapter.

I really liked getting to know you all! So, I'm going to ask another question!

What was your weirdest dream/day dream?

I have two that tie. My first one was that a few of my friends and I were in a zombie apocalypse. My second one actually has to do with this story. I was dreaming that I was typing the last authors note of the last chapter, and it was so bittersweet to me (I was even crying in my sleep). I, of course, plan to finish this. That won't be for a while though (season 4 of MHA? Haven't worked out the full ending yet). It was so weird, sad, and sweet at the same time.

Have a great day everyone!
