Calvary battle? I think I know this game...

"Allow me to explain, the particents will form teams of two to four people as they see fit. In theory, it's the same as a playground game. But there is one difference, each player has been assigned a point value based on the results of the obstacle course."

A  few people were explaining their thoughts on how they thought it worked.

"MAYBE YOU SHOULD LET ME EXPLAIN IT TO YOU! Now then, the points go up by increments of five starting from the bottom. For example, 44th place is worth five and 43rd place is worth ten. 

"And the point value assigned to first place is, 10 million!"

WHAT THE F- *this word has been censored due to the help of Bakugou's loud-as-frick explosions*

I could see the gears turning in everyone's heads. They think that they can take my points? As if!

Midnight continued, "It's a survival the fittest, the bottom the overthrow the top!"

"44 of you qualified to move on to the next round. Get your courage and prepare for the next test! A cavalry battle! Those of you at the top will suffer the most, of course that's something you'll hear over and over again at UA. Show us what plus ultra means, Killua Zoldyck placed first in the qualifier round. He will be worth 10 million!" Midnight summed up. 

Welp, time to show these punks who's boss around here.

"Don't worry Killua, they said there can be teams of two. We'll just be a team of two! We can take 'em!" Gon reassured, however, I know him. He's worried as well, but no one- other than me- could see it.

"First years! These are the rules you will abide by! The game itself will last 15 minutes, individual point values will be added together for the total. Everyone will know what you are worth because of the headbands. Swipe as many headbands as you can to raise your teams score (Swiper, no swiping!). Stolen headbands must be worn from the neck up. The more you steal, the harder it'll become to manage them. And another thing, even if your headband gets stolen or your team falls down; you keep playing until time is up! 

"This is going to be rough, (KiNkY. Please tell me someone gets the reference) so you may use your quirks as much as you like! But, there are still rules. Make a team fall on purpose and I'll slap you with a red card, you will be disqualified! Now you have 15 minutes to make your teams, so I recommend you get started!"

"I guess we're done with our team" I said nonchalantly. 

"Yeah!" Gon chirped. But it still didn't feel right, I'll have to ask him about it later...

We had 15 minutes to ourselves, both me and Gon decided to think about strategies against everyone else then we would share when the game first started. 

"Heyyyyyyy" some girl with pink hair and a bunch of gadgets came up to us.

"What do you want?" I coldly replied.

Gon refuted this, "Don't be so blunt! Can we help you?"

"Yes, you can! I would like to be on your team!" she, enthusiastically, almost shouted.

"Well, um" Gon stuttered.

"No." I finished.

"What? But I'll can be a great-"

"No, let's go Gon"

"Alright!" Gon answered.

 Then we walked off.
