DANNY'S POV
I waited for Hazel to fall asleep before getting up i kissed her head one more time before i pulled her covers up tucking her in leaving the room and closing the door behind me. I sighed and walked to Asher's room to see if he was okay, he was at his desk working on his part of the science project. I walked up to him and kissed his head and he turned around and smiled at me.
"Enough for one day..do something fun make a new drawing or something and please go to bed at a decent time tonight or I'm going to confiscate your project every night." I half joked but i was fully willing to do that so he would sleep.
"Alright i promise I'll go to bed before midnight, i love you momma"
"I love you too bud" we hugged and i walked out of his room and to Elijah's
"Hey kiddo time for bed..did you brush your teeth?"he nodded and i smiled.
"I love you baby sweet dreams " i whispered kissing his head.
"I love you too mom"
He laid down and i tucked him in turning on his nightlight it seems silly for an eleven year old but he has night terrors from time to time and the light just helps him sleep better. I left the room leaving the door slightly ajar.
I walked to mine and Ash's room seeing her sitting in bed with her laptop in front of her, i pecked her cheek before going to my closet undressing i took my time cause i could feel Ash's eyes on me i reached behind me and unclasped my bra letting it fall to the floor grabbing a clean pair of panties putting them on before grabbing some lotion and walking over to Ash.
"Could you rub my back for me a little please it's killing me" i pouted and Ash smiled nodding her head.
I laid down in the middle of the bed and Ash put some lotion on her hands warming it up before gently starting to massage my back, i sighed and moaned softly when she ran her hands over the right spot and she got the idea focusing on that spot.
"Is Hazel okay?"
"I think so she asked me to stay with her for a bit i think she's just stressed and i saw her water bottle in the fridge which means she didn't drink any water for the day so I'm guessing she was a little dehydrated too so that's probably why she got the headache."
"Okay that's good thank you for handling bedtime while i sorted out those meeting dates"
"You're welcome we're a team remember?"Ash kissed between my shoulders gently
"I do and i love you"
"I love you too "
Ash rubbed my back and shoulders a little more and i got dressed after and we brushed our teeth and laid down in bed talking for a little while before falling asleep.
A few hours later we woke up to Elijah screaming so we got up and ran to his room he was thrashing around in his bed screaming his head off.
"Baby grab his washcloth for me please I'll wake him up" Ash ran to get his washcloth wet with some warm water while i tried to wake him up. I picked him up holding his head in my neck while his hands and feet were behind me .
"Eli baby wake up Mommy's here I'm here baby wake up come on" he just kept screaming so i pulled him away from my neck cradling his head in my hand.
"Eli wake up it's okay you're okay baby wake up come on!" i shook him lightly and he finally woke up. He hates it when i yell at him but he was screaming so loud it was the only way i could get him to hear me.
"Mommy" i croaked bursting into tears right after. Ash came back with his washcloth and i folded it, gently patting it on the back of his neck as i held him. His doctor recommended we do this to calm him down something about stimulating the nerve points on his neck I'm not 100% sure.
"Shh it's okay baby you're alright" i shushed him and rocked us back and forth while patting his neck down and he eventually fell back asleep so i laid him down kissing his head and leaving the room.
When we got outside his room both Hazel and Asher were standing against their doorframes looking concerned.
"He's okay guys go back to bed" Ash encouraged and they nodded going back into their rooms. Ash and i sighed making our way back to bed .
ASHLEY'S POV
I fell face first into my pillow and Danny laughed lightly laying down next to me ,i turned my head to the side so we could talk.
"Baby don't you think we should take Eli to talk to someone about his dreams" i asked and Danny breathed deeply before answering.
"Yes i do i had night terrors too when i was a kid but i grew out of it by the time i was 8 i think and mine were never this bad".
"Okay I'll call the doctor in the morning and ask him who we should talk to it can't be healthy for him to being going through this he's withdrawn for days after he has them and he's having them more often"
"I know thank you baby...we'll see how he looks in the morning and if he seems tired or upset i think he should stay home it might be better than sending him into a busy school for the entire day that only usually drains him more"
"You're right but we can't do that every time"
"I know it's just a maybe...we'll see how he looks tomorrow "
"Okay i can live with that...did you talk to Hazel about Sydney?"i asked since we were on the topic of kids
"Nope but i have a strange feeling about her " she replied .
"You're just being overprotective cause she's growing up I'm sure it's fine" i reassured and Danny nodded
"Maybe you're right can you believe our little beans are already sixteen" she asked laying her head on my chest .
"No it all went by so fast and Hazel already got pre-approved for medical school and Asher got pre-approved for Music school"
"It's so weird to think our babies are almost going to college"
"Yeah so we need to make this their best year yet"Danny nodded and we got settled going back to sleep.
