First Love

One Year...Together

The snow was falling in New York City as the early winter weather began. It was the weekend after Thanksgiving and it was time to decorate for Christmas in the Rodriguez household, but also another major event was going on that weekend. It has been a year since Alex and Jennifer began dating. 1 year. They couldn't believe it. It had felt as though they have been together for years. The love for one another was evident always and to every-one.

Natasha and Ella were in New York City for Thanksgiving break, they spent it with Jennifer and Alex at Jennifer's parent's house. They were excited to start decorating their dad's house.

It was the day of Jennifer and Alex's one year anniversary. Jennifer and Alex had to, unfortunately, spend the evening before their anniversary separately, because Jennifer had to wake up extremely early for a work meeting. However, unknown to Jennifer Alex had many surprises in store for her.

Jennifer woke up on the morning of her anniversary to her blaring alarm and Lady sitting on her bed. She got up not wanting to go to work and just to spend the day with Alex, but she had to go to work.

She stretched out her arms and reached over to her phone to see a message from Alex.

'Happy Anniversary my love. I can't wait to show you what I have planned for our special day. You are one of the greatest light of my life and I love you with all my heart.'

Jennifer was about to cry from happiness. She loved this man with her entire soul. She got ready for work and got in her car and drove to her office. When she got there she walked into her office. She saw Leah standing there with a latte in her hand. As she approached Leah and was handed the latte she was told about what was going to be said in the meeting. She walked into her office and saw a bouquet of red roses on top of her desk.

"Awww," she said knowing it was Alex giving her roses for their anniversary. She saw a card and reached over to open the note.

'My love, so you don't have a meeting. I have planned many surprises. Thanks to Leah and your boss I've got them to trick you into coming into work for this anniversary scavenger hunt. So in every stop, you will find your next clue. The first clue, go to a place where we had our first kiss. Where the snow fell and our love sparked.' Jennifer was smiling so big because she can't believe that this man has done something this special for their anniversary. She looked towards Leah and said: 'Thank You for helping him do this. I have to go.'

She made it to the spot where the snow fell as they shared their first kiss. She looked around to see if she could find a clue. She looked at every corner and in the corner of her eye, she spotted the pink envelope sitting at top of a parking post. She opened it and it said:

' So you have found the spot where our love sparked and where I knew I loved you...' Jennifer found tears in her eyes and continued reading '...today isn't a day of just running around getting clues I have a day where you are going to be treated like the queen you are. So your second stop of this scavenger hunt is to go to the spa. You don't have to pay anything they have my credit card. I have pre-paid a full spa day experience. Go and feel beautiful.' Jennifer was in shock at how he has planned out this magical day.

Jennifer arrived at the spa and went to the front desk.

"Hi, my name is Jennifer Lopez..." she was cut off by the front desk lady.

"Oh yes, Jennifer. Okay so your boyfriend has paid for a full spa day this includes, a massage, a facial, manicure, and pedicure." Wow, Jennifer was excited to be pampered and she loved Alex for this.
