First Love

WHAT?!!

The cold winter breeze was swarming around Jennifer and Alex's New York City home as they lay in bed together. It had been a week since Valentine's Day and Jennifer's pregnancy has not been treating her the best. She had been trying to hide the fact that she was pregnant for a while. It felt nice keeping their baby a surprise something that was just for the both of them for a while.

As much as she loved being pregnant and carrying her baby the constant sickness had her miserable for a very long time. Her pregnancy had brought her a bunch of nausea and the only thing Jennifer has been able to keep down is mashed potatoes and ice cream.

That morning she woke up with a pounding headache. She twisted to stare up at the ceiling trying to hold back the nauseous feeling, but that didn't help as much as she quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. Alex ran up behind her grabbing her hair and rubbing her back.

She sank into Alex's grasp and she took a deep breath and laid her head against Alex's shoulder.

Alex traveled down to Jennifer's stomach and placed his hand there. He rubbed it softly as he was kissing Jennifer's temple. Jennifer placed her hand a top of his.

Jennifer and Alex were traveling to Miami soon to visit the girls and tell them the good news, but they had to go to the doctors first to see the baby. She was excited to her baby and she couldn't wait. Jennifer had been working from home for the past week she had no more conferences and was only doing paper work and she told her boss and Leah that she had the flu and didn't want to infect anyone else.

The day went on Jennifer had some paper work to do and she was taking many breaks as that she still wasn't feeling her best she still had her headache and was trying as much as possible to sleep it off not wanting to take any medication, because she didn't want to affect her pregnancy.

As she was working a huge wave of nausea came over her and she took a pause placed her hand on her temples and breathed in and out trying to breath away her nausea. She tried to get up and get some water trying to see if it would subside her nausea. As she got up and walked over all she felt was a throbbing thumping in the back of her head. Alex saw her struggling and walked over to her and grabbed her quickly.

"Baby, are you okay?" he asked.

"No, I feel bad really bad. I have a really bad headache and I can't open my eyes the light is bothering and I am really tired." She said as she almost collapsed in his arms. She was closing her eyes and Alex started freaking out because she was losing a bit of consciousnesses.

"Babe I think we should go to the hospital." Jennifer made a noise that sounded like a yes.

He grabbed his keys and his phone and grabbed Jennifer's hand and they walked to the car.

He helped Jennifer into the car carefully and they drove to the hospital.

When they got to the hospital Alex drove to the front area saying he needed a wheelchair for his pregnant fiancée that she couldn't walk. Two nurses went over to the car and helped Jennifer out of the car and took her inside as the hospital valet took Alex's car.

Alex rushed over next to her and they handed him a form to fill out. They asked her what it was that they were here for.

"My fiancée she is pregnant. She has been having really bad morning sickness. She woke up today with a really bad headache and said that she couldn't keep her eyes open. Before we got here she collapsed in my arms and was going in and out of consciousness. " Alex said. They quickly took Jennifer into the Maternity Side of the hospital putting her in a room with an IV. Where they did blood work.
