Forever and Ever [Nagisa x Reader]

The cool breeze tickled her face as she inhaled deeply, appreciating the lingering flowery scent in the air. The sky was a clear radiant blue, not a cloud in sight, the sun shining brightly onto the earth beneath it as the last cold breaths of winter faded, warmth filling the space it left.


With fingers laced together, they made their way to school, walking past a grassy meadow, which was coated in a frosty layer of snow merely weeks ago. Now, the lush field was blooming with wildflowers, swaying gently amongst the sea of green in the morning draft.


Tall trees were thriving with life, birds singing and chirping happily, squirrels scurrying around after a long winter of hibernation. Butterflies fluttered through the air, hovering over the flowers, like dancing fairies celebrating the arrival of spring.


The picturesque meadow didn’t go unnoticed by the couple, unlike many others who just walked past, not bothering to spare a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature.


Letting go of her hand, his warmth lingered against her skin as he suddenly hopped off the sidewalk onto the verdant fields, leaving her utterly confused at his unexpected actions. He looked over his shoulder, giving her that brilliant smile of his, an extra cheery smile he reserved for her and her only.


“I’ll be right back!” He yelled, before venturing further into the grassy wonderland, bending down to pick a pretty white daisy, hiding it behind his back as he made his way back to the sidewalk where the [h/c] haired girl waited with a knowing smile on her face.


“Did you know that daisies represent loyalty to love and commitment, Nagisa?”


The strawberry-blonde male frowned playfully and clicked his tongue. “Ehh, [Name]-chan. Can’t you pretend you didn’t see me pick it?”


The giggles that left her lips were music to his ears as she bit her lip and nodded at him, trying to contain her laughter as he cleared his throat and struggled to put on a serious expression, his ever-present grin threatening to break through onto his visage, holding the daisy in front of her.


“[Name]-chan, I love you and will always remain loyal and committed to you. Will you continue to be my girlfriend forever and ever?”


Not trusting herself to speak out loud, she settled for nodding her head, a shy smile tugging at the corner of her lips as she gently took the dainty flower from him, taking a moment to appreciate the simple beauty of the pristine white petals surrounding the vivid yellow eye.


The way her eyes lit up, and the blush that peppered her cheeks was a sight he wanted to see every single day. And when she looked up at him, their eyes locking onto each other, they could both feel the strong connection between them. The intense, yet innocent love they shared.


Throwing her arms around his neck, she pulled him into a tight embrace, one that he returned with equal passion, his hands wrapped around her waist, holding her close to him.


“I love you too, you big dork,” she mumbled against the soft fabric of his uniform, breathing in the faint scent of chlorine mixed together with an unidentifiable sweet scent that she was so accustomed to.


“So you’ll remain my girlfriend forever?” He asked, leaning his cheek against the top of her head.


“Forever and ever, Nagisa.”
